Woodbury, Tennessee
A really cute little cottage converted from stables with a high end modern kitchen, and lots of interior wood. Very private with access to 175 estate for walking etc. Google Yellow Bird Art Farm for more details. Or yellowbirdartscape dot org. Great for taking your dog on vacation. ($25 per pet up to a week). Collected here. Tick/flea protected please. Close to Woodbury, a "small arts town'. People love the place. Two floors, with a studio (with sofa bed) and balcony upstairs. Organic gardening opportunities available!! Fire pit outside. Wood-burning sauna available ($39) and meditation hut (complimentary). A/C. DVD player (movies). No TV. Reviews on a parallel listing service. Fast internet. Dogs $25/dog/week collected on site.
From past experiences there has always been an access code. There was no access but was not communicated that, there was no coffee maker, No batteries in the remote, the door we came in would not stay closed. Upstairs is more like loft, not really a bedroom. Neither one of us wanted to stay up there. Good for kids not so much for adults. Very secluded and quiet,
Quiet and nice get away in nature.
Dave was always available, friendly (thanks for the bottle of wine and the tomatoes from your garden!). Although the house could use a thorough cleaning, which I did on the first night, we settled in and had a nice stay. Our dogs loved the grounds where they could run and play. If you want to grill, you will need to bring your own bag of charcoal and lighter fluid, which we didn't... Thankfully, we brought an indoor type of grill with us as a just in case...which worked out super in a pinch. We will book with Dave again on our next stay.
The cottage could use a serious cleaning and debugging but the owner was very nice and the property was delightful.
Property is located just outside Woodbury and is a converted stable nestled by trees. Very quiet and peaceful and owner was very communicative. Enjoy our time there and will stay again next time in area.
The stables were beautiful. Slightly outside of town but we’ll worth driving 15 minutes to have the pleasure of staying here. The owner was extremely helpful even when the problems were our lack of understanding. David was amazing.
David was a great host and this cottage was perfect for our Central Tennessee trip. It was within an hour of everything we wanted to do. The kitchen had more utensils and supplies than most rentals I've stayed in (which was super convenient). We were prepared for no cable TV so we brought DVDs since a DVD player was listed in the amenities; no DVD player was available but there was an Amazon firestick which is even better. The property is gorgeous and a little black kitty greeted us each morning. Our stay was lovely and we'd totally stay there again.
David was very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in early after a long drive. Location seems isolated but your mins away from town.
The draw to this place is the property. The scenery is beautiful. There are several trails to hike and two lakes. There are several animals on the property that are friendly. The inside of the cabin is nice, but it could use a good cleaning. It’s close to Woodbury where there are antique shops and restaurants. Overall, this is a great place if you like the outdoors.
Beautiful property and peaceful stay. David is a wonderful host.
