The Snug is a romantic bolt-hole close to Cornwall’s Riviera coastline, beaches galore and miles of stunning coast path. Adjoining the charming owners home is your private sanctuary for two, situated in the heart of the pretty village of Grampound which lies on the edge of the Roseland Peninsula, a designated part of Cornwall's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A door leads from the kitchen dining room to a quietly elegant master bedroom with a king size bed dressed in soft bed linens, good art, gorgeous prints and a swish en-suite bathroom. The Moroccan inspired theme extends to a patio with mellow countryside views, exotic plants and garden furniture for alfresco meals and romantic sundowners. Climb the staircase from the kitchen dining room to an intimate sitting room set beneath the eaves with a large corner settee to kick back and relax. There is off road parking for one car. Town: Grampound is a pretty village situated on the edge of the Roseland Peninsula, a designated part of Cornwall's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Approximately equidistant to the cathedral city of Truro and the old market town of St Austell, it is an excellent location for exploring the Cornish Riviera with its beautiful landscape and coastal scenery. You will find a country pub, restaurant and general stores in the village centre. The long tract of sandy beach at Porthpean and Pentewen are within easy reach and the charming fishing village of Mevagissey and historic port of Charlestown are also well worth a visit. The infamous Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a short drive and for a more active break, there is Pentewen Cycle Trail and Porthpean Golf Course. A visit to the exclusive waterfront village of St Mawes and the harbor town of Fowey with their excellent range of pubs and foodie restaurants are highly recommended.

This property is meticulously appointed. In the modern kitchen, with a breakfast bar for two, on arrival there was a lovely box of goodies provided by the owners (who, very considerately, contacted us beforehand wishing us a good week's stay). The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent with great modern fittings which worked well. It was very quiet inside the cottage ... although slightly noisy from traffic when sitting outside, but it wasn't too obtrusive. There was a comfortable upstairs sitting room for relaxing in. Well done to the owners for all the above ... including their own domestic brewery in an outbuilding producing delicious bottled beer; many thanks for that bonus! Cheers!
