Stayed Jan 30, 2026Brilliant stay at this 3 bedroom home in Brixham. The check in process was easy and the property was nice and clean. Would definitely recommend people stay here if visiting Brixham.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Really lovely property. Very clean. 10 minute walk to harbour. The rug in the lounge had some dirty marks on it and needs washing and a few on the sofas. There was only 1 toilet roll in the downstairs toilet and upstairs bathroom for 6 people. Also, no dishwasher tablet or washing up cloth and tea towel. Stay in many self catering places and have never had this before. Only 3 decent wine glasses. Others were gin glasses. No bread knife either. Very steep steps outside to garden and although hand rails this would be difficult for small children and elderly to enjoy the garden. No lightbulb in downstairs bedroom or movie room. Broken chair and parasol left in garden at side of shed. This should have been removed. Central heating was very good and easy to use.

Stayed Jan 17, 2025Good house, great view and ideal location. House really benefits from having driveway parking. Close enough to the town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle at night. Would recommend highly.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was another fabulous holiday! Stayed 2 weeks this time and booked again for next year. Ideal location close (easy walk) to the centre of Brixham and all its fabulous local shops. Highly recommend The Bay Coffee shop and Brixham maid!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Unfortunately, I have to agree with the most recent reviews for this property - in that it needs some TLC. The property isn't awful - far from it, and we really enjoyed our stay. However, the niggles started to add up over the course of the week. This made for a slightly disappointing experience overall. When you enter the property, you are immediately faced with a skirting board covered in some fairly significant paint chips (presumably from people bashing their luggage against it). It's only a small thing, but it's not a great first impression and it almost sets the tone for the rest of the property. A lick of paint would make a huge difference here - as it would in other areas. The outdoor furniture needs to be replaced, one of the window panes in the living area has blown and needs to be replaced, the rug in the living area is on its last legs and needs to be replaced, one of the upstairs blinds (in the bedroom facing the garden) is broken and needs to be replaced, and there was an unpleasant damp smell downstairs. We were also disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. There were cobwebs all over the property (around light fittings and radiators) and we had to re-wash the cutlery and glasses. There were also other niggles such as no toilet brush or hand towel in the upstairs bathroom (which is the main bathroom in the property). None of the issues are unsurmountable and many are easily fixed, but they take the shine off of the property. In terms of positives, it's in a great location (a 5/10 minute walk from the town and harbour), there is a great view of the harbour from the living area, parking is great, the rear garden is extremely secure and the living area and kitchen (in particular) are very nicely done. The property isn't lacking in any way, but it needs some TLC to make it a top quality option once again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Good location and the potential to be a perfect property with an attractive garden. But cleanliness was poor the carpets needed a good hoover and there was tar on the lounge floor which I believe originated on the balcony, and there was lots of dust around. The garden needed lots of attention, the lawn was mown during our stay but there was lots of weeds growing between slabs and along the borders. The balcony which had beautiful views was dirty I had to remove a dead bird and dog poo both of which had been there for some time. The balcony furniture was covered in cobwebs and two of the chairs were broken. The rail on the back stairs was broken but after reporting twice this was repaired.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The layout of upstairs is great, but all the paintwork is in need of a refresh. The balcony is a lot narrower and outdoor furniture should be replaced with all weather furniture and give the it some general TLC. Downstairs is a wasted space. It's smells damp, even leaving doors open to get some air circulation. The back garden is a gem. It's secure for your children or furry child, not overlooked. The access to it again needs TLC. Get rid of the weeds. Sort out the wobbly railings and paint up with some colour. We were very lucky with weather and spend most of our evenings enjoying the quiet and sunshine in the garden.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great house in a good location, close to the harbour, beach and seapool with parking at the property and a nice garden. The bedrooms are all a good size with plenty of storage The house is well equipped and comfortable and we had a great week with decent weather. We loved the Berry Head Hotel and also the Cafe, lovely food and fantastic views. Can also recommend the Liberty cocktail / gin / tea palace in the harbour, they do a very nice crab sandwich. St Mary’s beach is also worth a visit. We also went to Paignton which is close by for the funfair and the pier and beaches. When we arrived the twin beds in the downstairs bedroom were not configured into a double as requested, I emailed the company and they responded immediately, the housekeeper contacted me and came to the house and it was sorted straight away, great service.
