In a lovely village with pub (no shop). It was a 16th century village pound where stray animals and drunks were stored. Of course it has been modernised since then. The road there from Monmouth was OK but to cross to where we were going regularly meant negotiating numerous Welsh lanes (single track with few passing places). We found a good road on our second last day. Wish we had asked the owner about best routes. The property was well equipped and comfortable. Book through Sykes rather than VRBO as it is cheaper.

Jean was most welcoming and left us a bottle of fizzy wine as a present. She was always there if we needed anything which we didn't.Everything you need is there including wi fi . Forest of Dean and Brecon Beacons only a short drive away. In. I give it 5 stars.

The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything needed and friendly owners. Monmouthshire is very pretty with lots of places to visit. The local pub, The Lion Inn, is well worth a visit for food and a drink.
