We had a great time. Our chocolate lab loved the outdoor area/large yard and river!
Very nice little place on the narrows! Access to kayaks, canoes and pontoons! Close to wineries etc.
The property owner and staff were all very friendly and kind and very helpful. The little town was wonderful. All the people were so friendly and the food was good and all the little restaurants around great experience… mostly we got the rest and peacefulness we need it.♥️ Thank you, Hilary
Stayed in the loft for a week. Plenty of room for my husband and myself. Loft was very clean and had everything we needed. There is no oven but has a microwave and a two burner stove. This was fine for us. Pretty scenery from our deck and was able to sit and watch the boats go by in the narrows. The staff at the little marina was very helpful and answered all our questions. Rented a pontoon boat for 2 days and was able to fish and enjoy the lake. The village of Leelanau is small and quiet but centrally located between Sleeping Bear Dunes Park and Traverse City. Never drove more than 30 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go. Did lots of hiking and some bike riding at Sleeping Bears Dune Park very beautiful. Bike trails are in good condition and mostly paved. Hilary the owner was very nice and easy to work with. He met us when we got there and explained everything to us. We usually saw him at least once a day out by the marina. Would stay in the loft again.
Cute cottage right on the Narrows! Great location with walkability to stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. Added bonus, water toy rental located on the premises. Thanks Hilary for an enjoyable stay!
We loved our stay - the property was right now the narrows with a large yard for the kids to run around. A lot of great places within walking distance for when you are not on the water. We would definitely consider staying here again!
Lake Leelanau is our favorite vaca location and the Narrows cottage fit the bill to a T! Staff was great. It was cozy place for tww.
We traveled as grandparents with three children 9 and under. The location was perfect. The kids loved having the large property to run around and play. Their favorite was fishing off the dock and walking to get ice cream every day. Sleeping was sufficient for the five of us. We did not need to try out the AC as it was a little chilly. One thing we missed was a washer and dryer. A small suggestion would be for somewhere to hang out wet towels to dry. Thank you Hilary!
This property was a perfect get away for the weekend! So many amenities and great communication with the owners! The cottage is less than 10 min from downtown Leland and perfect for a nice getaway! Everything was clean and ready for guests! I will definitely be back!
Hillary is a great host! My family and I stayed for the weekend of the Bayshore Marathon. My cousin was training for that marathon when she was hit and killed while running and we all came to partake in the marathon in her memory. Hillary was so compassionate to my family and knew my cousin. Our stay was emotional but having the ease of two homes together right by the water was wonderful. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit and told stories and ate s’mores. It was so healing for us all to be together. We enjoyed time out on the water on the pontoon boat and the shallows we unbelievable! Thank you Hillary for being so kind to our family during this difficult time. It was EXACTLY what we all needed.
An absolutely wonderful place to rest before or after a day of touring. The property is updated inside and out. The beds were comfy and clean, the kitchen was well stocked and clean, and the bathroom was also clean. There is new beautiful decking, nice outdoor waterside seating, and a great firepit we cooked over. The small town of Lake Leelanau was having a festival while we were there and their small eateries were very tasty. You will not regret a stay here!
The check in and checkout were so easy and the cabin quaint! Close to everything we wanted to do! Just what we needed!
It was a good experience. Property owner makes sure you have what you need to experience what the area has to offer. Really enjoyed using the fire pit and the nighttime skies. (Musty smell but lighting candle that was provided helped)
We stayed in The Cottage. It was as described. Well stocked with towels, bedding, paper products, and kitchen stuff. Adirondack chairs around the shared firepit and beautiful yard. Wicker furniture on deck. We brought bikes and paddle boards. There was plenty of room to unload them & we had no worries about them being bothered. Host was friendly, accomodating, and welcoming to our dog. Nice place to stay!
Lots to look at on the Narrows! The cottage is fairly simple, but nice and the beds had been upgraded, which we appreciated. Use of the kayaks was appreciated and all in all, this is a good place to stay to explore the area.
Lake Leelanau was beautiful ! Sleeping Bear National Park & beaches a must ! Enjoyed visiting shops, restaurants & strolling in Leland, Northport , Sutton Bay & Traverse City. Pontooning, kayaking & hiking great !
We had a great and comfortable stay at this cottage. But upon arrival we were immediately hit with the smell of an animal house and my husband and I suffered from allergies the whole time we were in the cottage (the symptoms would get better as soon as we left). We knew this was a dog friendly property but the listing says “non shedding only” so we didn’t expect it to smell like wet Labrador and make us feel so sick. Just a word of caution for those who have allergies! Otherwise, it was a nice place.
We loved our stay here. My two kids had a blast running around the huge, beautiful yard, and we enjoyed family bonfires and sitting out by the water. The property was very clean, and it was so easy to get everywhere we wanted to go - Suttons Bay, Leland, and Glen Arbor. The town of Lake Leelanau is absolutely wonderful. It was easy to walk to Boathouse Vineyards, Pedaling Beans coffee, NJ’s grocery, and Fiddleheads. Highly recommend!
