We loved our stay!!! Super comfy and lots of extras provided for free (bottle of wine)!!!

If you’re looking for quiet, peaceful and cozy, this is the place. It is small with low, slanted ceilings, but you can’t beat the view, accommodating, friendly hosts and if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll get to hold some puppies. Lots of nice touches with snacks, nicely equipped kitchen, homemade salsa and a bottle of wine. We were in town for a sports tournament, and it was perfect to relax in after a long day.

The Ivy Cottage was such a surprise and delight! From the numerous private patios, to the gorgeous view, to the intimate and cozy cottage. We loved every inch of the place! Our hosts were fantastic. We will definitely be booking again!

Cottage was so cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked. Property is in a beautiful, quiet location. Views of the Wasatch mountains are magnificent. Hosts are kind and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The Ivy Cottage was perfect! It’s exactly as advertised and has absolutely everything you need exactly where you expect it to be for your stay! The hosts are excellent at communicating with you! The downstairs bed is super comfortable!! We loved the garden area, the view is fantastic and location is spot on! Eric’s restaurant suggestions were delicious! We loved our time at Ivy Cottage and can’t wait to book again!! Highly highly recommend this place!! You won’t regret it! It’s very clean, quiet, relaxing and peaceful!!

Location was in a quiet, upscale neighborhood on a street with no through traffic. Hosts were gracious and communicated well. Made us feel welcome and appreciated. They offered pleasantries we have not had before - e.g. a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival.Kitchen was modest but well equipped.Internet worked well, even for streaming YouTube videos.Overall it was very good experience. Highly recommended.

This property is in the most beautiful mountain location. The hosts were extremely hospitable. We had a very cozy stay. We would stay here again!

Great hosts. Great communication. Incredibly hospitable and accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked. Lots of nice, well thought out touches throughout. Had everything we needed for our stay. Proximity to Alta/Snowbird can’t be beat. Perfect place for a Father/Son ski trip.

Eric was a great host and was extremely welcoming. He even had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids. The cottage had everything you could need. He also had a number of great restaurant recommendations. If skiing at Alta or Snowbird in the future we would definitely come back!

We have stayed in many short term rentals, and this one is easily in the top five. The hosts are the most wonderful humans and clearly love welcoming people to this lovely cottage behind their home. Eric welcomed us upon arrival (despite it being 10pm) and walked us through the cottage to show us all features. Shauna insisted on plying us with baked goods, having Eric deliver them with instructions to eat the chocolate banana bread while it was still warm. Every amenity was considered - from robes to jars of peanuts and M&Ms to a bottle of wine - and the kitchen was one of the most completely stocked we've seen. There was a selection of teas and hot chocolate, and even books and games were available. When we had a problem with one of the toilets, Eric had it fixed while we were out. We truly felt like visiting family while we stayed at the Ivy Cottage and will absolutely come back!

We were greeted by Eric on arrival, he walked us through in making sure we were well informed of all amenities. Wow, a personal touch rare to see. Clean, super well equipped kitchen, numerous personal touches. Many late afternoons relaxing after spring skiing gazing at the view as the sun set. Thx and shall be back soon

Perfect spot for a ski trip to Little/Big Cottonwood Canyons. Hostess was so nice and the sunset view from the backyard looking up the Canyon was beautiful. Will definitely plan to stay here again!

IMPRESSIVE!!!The Ivy Cottage was the best EVER!! So many thoughtful amenities than I’ve ever had at a vacation rental. They offered robes, slippers, spa sandals, ski gloves/helmets, boot warmers, laundry supplies, treats, tasty homemade salsa w/chips, wine, seasonings, & many other kitchen essentials & so much more than I could list herein. I see why they have a 5 STAR rating. I’m spoiled now as I move on with my adventure to 2 more vacation rentals for the next 3 weeks.As a solo woman traveler I felt safe here & appreciated the peace & quiet. I felt at home. Even the sound of the wind chimes were pleasing to the ear. My intention was to ski but I only got 2 of 5 days in. Rained Tues/Wed, but when Friday came the thought of sleeping in the upper room was more appealing than skiing at a crowded resort. It’s sincerely hard to depart from this wonderful place.One of the GREATEST part of my stay was Eric’s amazing massage, with brushing, tuning fork, oils, etc. So good!! I had a massage Monday and couldn’t leave without another massage Friday. I will definitely come back for more massages when I return homeward to the Sierra Nevada, CA towards the end of my trip. Host is very communicative and welcoming. The cottage feels more like a bnb or home than a normal rental, in the setup, decor, and all the things provided.They try to provide anything a guest might need and I didn't come across anything I needed that wasn't there.

The stay was incredible! Extremely clean, cozy, comfortable! The views were excellent and the time was very well enjoyed. The owners were super friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns! Great location! And the cottage had everything we needed. There was a small issue with the TV but the host corrected it right away. Lovely property.

I was hoping for a quiet weekend at a private place. The outdoor sitting area was around the corner from the main house but the host said their grandkid was coming over the next day and will probably be running around. The hottub was just outside their house door with new puppies barking at you when you go over there. The only part that's really private was inside the house. And even some of the windows didn't have any kind of blinds or curtains to cover it. The throw blankets also smelled like dog and like they haven't been washed in a year. I thought this place would be private but it's a fixed up separate garage. It's not what I was hoping for.

Owners are super friendly, and they have gone above and beyond for this property. Cannot recommend this cottage enough! It is amazing!

Check in was very easy and the owner met us and gave us a quick tour. They have a helpful video all about the property and where to park. We arrived late at night and this made things much more straightforward.

Everything was beautiful: quaint and epic at the same time. Loved the complementary snacks, salsa, wine. Very well done. We'll be back for sure!

It was smaller then the pictures made it look. My husband kept hitting his head on the ceilings. We got in the hot tube but there was so many chemicals it hurt our eyes and made us cough the whole time. It was very beautiful and peaceful. They really think about a lot of things you might need.

My only regret of this wonderful cozy place is that I didn't enjoy it more. For someone who is a workaholic in their professional life and 100% INHERENTLY lazy in their personal life, this place is perfect. Every nook and cranny is inviting and made for comfort. Next time I'm staying in. Thank you.

Such a cute little place. The outdoor space was great. The view is amazing. And the owner was super friendly and answered questions right away. The little touches throughout were so thoughtful. If you want a little fun adventure right on the property the owners put out little birds in the backyard to find. I highly recommend this property.

The Ivy Cottage Was a great get away and the location is amazing with awesome views from the backyard! Eric was very helpful with information about the area. It was very relaxing and the trails are just awesome.

This was a very cozy cottage. The owners had literally everything you could need. I had forgotten my razor and there was one provided. The kitchen was well stocked, even though we never cooked. Overall a very positive experience. This is right next to the owner’s house so you will see them tending their garden and letting their dogs out, so I could see some may wish for something a little more private. However, they were never intrusive and pretty much left us alone. The location was spectacular, and the views breathtaking.

My daughter and I stayed for some spring skiing. Location was absolutely perfect to access both Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. Cottage was clean and cozy. Hosts were friendly and welcomed us with delicious homemade bread and salsa. We were even able to throw a lacrosse ball in the beautiful backyard. We hope to go back again.

The home was very comfortable. Warm and inviting place to stay. Private and quiet neighborhood. Our host was very welcoming and respectful. It felt like a home away from home.

The Ivy Cottage is a great place to stay while visiting SLC. The cottage has everything one would need. Although we did not cook, the kitchen was well stocked. Hosts were easy to work with and were very considerate (they even provide some treats, which were much appreciated). We were skiing and this location was great as it was very close to the slopes (10 minutes from Alta or Snowbird). The views were fantastic and setting was very peaceful. Would have loved to see the garden as one can tell that it is well taken care of.

We have been staying at the Ivy Cottage for several years for our Spring Break ski trips. It is right at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon and super convenient for skiing at Alta/Snowbird. It is also fully equipped to cook your own meals and close to local shopping. The hosts are excellent as well and we will be back!

Exactly what we needed to come home to after skiing. The location to Cottonwood Canyon is exceptional.

We rely on reviews when selecting a place to stay, and the positive reviews of this place do not reflect reality. Likely the positive reviews are due to the owners being such outwardly nice people. Eric greeted us on our arrival, showed us the place, let us know he was available for us but would respect our privacy; and he did. He provided us with a bottle of wine for our stay, home-made salsa from Shauna’s garden, chips, and even brought us freshly baked biscuits one day during our stay. The good:1.Possibly the best stocked place we’ve ever stayed.2.Owners were responsive, prompt, friendly, outwardly respectful.3.Location can’t be beat.The bad:1.Although the place was clean on the surface, we both experienced significant allergy-induced respiratory issues while there, even though we ran the air-purifier non-stop and kept the bathroom fan/heater on during the day. This had a noticable impact on our stay and was our major issue with the place.2.Cluttered. Too much stuff crammed into too small of space, leaving little usable counter, tabletop, end table, shelf, or even under-bed storage space.

The location is amazing- your back yard is the mouth of little cottonwood! We were met with a warm welcome, snacks and even cupcakes for our kiddos! Everything you could need to come home to after a day of skiing! Fireplace, hot tub, cozy kitchen, and comfortable beds!

This property has all the amenities! There were only two of us, but it had room to sleep a few more. Excellent location to ski resorts and to town. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Really nice, comfortable and cozy place in Sandy. Easy access to little cottonwood canyons. The hosts are wonderful & warm people who was very helpful. The place has almost everything you need. Really enjoyed our stay, will visit again.

What a great place! Has all amenities you can ask for, very close to the resorts, but tucked away in a quiet cul de sac so no traffic noise. My whole fam loved it. We will go back!

Cottage was amazing. Perfect location for Snowbird and Alta. 15 minutes up the Canyon. Tons of extras there for cooking, loved staying there. Really liked the gas fireplace/stove. Having laundry there was a great benefit along with hot tub and bbq!

This was everything we were looking for in a place to stay while visiting our son. The hosts were very responsive. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including kitchenware, toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion, towels, etc. The property has the most stunning backyard areas for sitting and taking in the amazing views of Little Cottonwood Canyon. A bottle of wine, chips and homemade salsa were also provided. I cannot think of anything else they could have done to make us feel more welcome. I highly recommend this property, especially if you're a skier. The hills are just minutes away, as are the grocery store and restaurants.

We had an amazing time. The property was beautiful, the cottage immaculately clean, well stocked, comfortable and cozy. Hoping to come back soon and will highly recommend to our friends and family!
