The property is enchanting and quiet. Not handicapped accessible, a four inch step up to get into entrance into property and a 6 inch step up for the shower. The bedroom is pleasantly exotic but bed we found difficult to get out of, as we both are physically challenged. The walk back to the Hoblet was inviting and the animals were welcoming. The animals are extremely well provided for and it says a lot about the caregivers. The Hoblet is located in a deep forest and a mouse in the house is to be expected, I guess. As for the positives, it is quiet and safe and we watched deer passing thru the forest. It is a magical place, a place for meditation and being one with nature for the able bodied. Located minutes away from attractions and the falls (beyond incredible). If you are able, this place is the place for peaceful rest.

The cottage was so charming! I loved being greeted by the animals as we came onto the property. The fireplace inside made it nice and cozy. Just a tip, sometimes with rain it can get muddy so bring boots! Still would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone

Our host was very responsive when we reached out. Very simple check-in and check-out process. Be prepared to get muddy if it is raining but the animals and property help you forget about that quickly. Such a great spot that I would recommend for a small family or couple.

When you arrive, you will be greeted by many friendly animals! Dawn is really easy to communicate with and timely in responses. The Hoblet was the perfect size for my husband and I on our honeymoon. One thing we wish we knew prior to our stay would be the toilet situation with not flushing toilet paper due to their septic. One thing we love, is that the money we spent on our stay goes directly to supporting the animals with food and comfort.

I came to the Niagara region to visit with a friend that lives in the area. It’s a perfect location away from all the busy city stuff. Getting to The Hoblet was easy and really feels like we were way out in the country, but just a short drive to the activities in the area. The animals are so great and are so fun to interact with. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. It truly is an enchanting place.

What a unique and unforgettable place to stay! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the peaceful surroundings and the adorable animals. Feeding and petting the baby goats, alpacas, and even being followed around by the friendly turkeys made our time downtown truly special. The host, Dawn, was absolutely amazing—so kind, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. When we asked to meet the animals, she went above and beyond to give us a personal tour. Her warmth really made the experience that much better. The cottage itself was beautiful—spacious, cozy, and surrounded by greenery. The sauna was a great bonus and very easy to use, adding a touch of relaxation to our weekend. We also loved how close it was to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, both quick and scenic drives through stunning farmland and vineyards. We even took a bike ride along the farm roads and were blown away by how gorgeous the area is.Highly recommend this property if you're looking for something peaceful, fun, and a little magical!

Our stay at the Hoblet was very relaxing and allowed us to get away from the city and busyness of the world. The fireplace, sauna and overall decor made us feel very welcomed and encouraged us to relax and take time away from the internet and our devices in general. Spending time with the animals on site was one of our favourite parts!

Living room was best part of the place although we did see two mice and also mouse droppings in the cupboards and also the outside swings were in bad state due to dirt and mold we could not use one of the swings as it was so dirty the patio roof leaks and the whole roof of the house is covered in in thick weeds that also cover the 3 skylights so no light from them, also no wifi available , the whole place has a dilapidated look about it on the outside it's not as in the photos

My wife and I stayed at the “Hoblet” and could not have been happier. Dawn, our host, was very responsive to all queries and made sure that our entire stay was stress free and enjoyable. The property was well maintained and very clean when we arrived. Check-in was hassle free and easy. We enjoyed interacting with and feeding the animals throughout the week that we were there. Would absolutely recommend this property over any boring hotel stay any day of the week.
