Interlochen, Michigan
BRAND NEW KITCHEN REMODEL.
This fully furnished 2 Bed/ 1 bath cottage with 90' of private frontage on 2,063 acre all sports Green Lake has gone through a major renovation in 2012. The remodeling included all new roof, siding, windows, knotty pine walls, ceilings, flooring, landscaping and more... The new kitchen remodel in spring 2018 includes granite countertops, new cupboards, appliances and dishes. The cottage sits on the South end of Green Lake near the mouth of the Betsie River and 5 minutes to the Interlochen Arts Academy and 15-20 to Traverse City.
The cottage offers a 14' starcraft fishing/row boat and a paddle boat and 2 nice kayaks for your private use. Or if you like you can bring your own boat and tie up to the dock. You can also enjoy yourself by lounging on the new brick paver patio with built in fire pit or by spreading the sand beneath your toes on the small beach area. If working is your thing the Wi-Fi reaches the end of the dock.
The Decor has the full "up north" feel to it. Log beds, end tables, leather furniture, knotty pine throughout ect.
The area has so much to offer with top ten ratings for travelers, food enthusiasts, winery lovers and beach goers. Enjoy a book in the hammock with the morning sun and a round of golf at one of the many highly recognized golf courses in the afternoon.
The cottage is privately owned and is not set-up for more than 5 people total (including children of any age), there is a $100 per person/per week fee for any people over the 5/person limit and must be approved by the owner. This is taken very seriously as we base the price of the rental on a total of 5 people (including children). Thanks for your respect on this issue.
Fantastic place and weekend. Watching the sunrise off the dock was wonderful! There were so many outdoor things to do we couldn't get them all in. Owner also responded quickly to all questions. We plan on renting again.
The house has lovely lakefront with dock and deck and fire pit. All kitchen necessities were available. Well maintained and cozy. Awesome spot!
This cabin was perfect for our family. We enjoyed staying here. The check in process was very smooth. The cabin was very clean too. It was very peaceful and relaxing!
It is our second time staying at this cottage and once again we had a fantastic time! It was so peaceful and serene to look at the lake and enjoy the beautiful trees and wildlife. The willow trees around the campfire are magical! We caught some nice fish and enjoyed kayaking too. Great place to recharge and reconnect with friends ! Thanks again!
Our family wanted a final summer getaway before school started. This house was the perfect size for 3-5 people. The house has been redone and is very clean and organized. There is a great little yard and the house is not too far from the lake. Communication with Joel was great through text. I would definitely stay there again.
We all had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. It was nice to refuel from the everyday life. It was a beautiful lake wonderful for swimming and fishing. Also lovely fire pit(the owner even left a s’more kit ?). The kayaks and pedal boat were awesome too. It was great!!!!!!
The cottage was clean and having the garage available in case of rain is a good touch.
We loved everything about this cottage. Just amazing.
Spent some great family time at Green Lake. The fishing was excellent and the house was clean with nice extras. We enjoyed the S'mores by the firepit. We used the kayaks daily. Close to everything we wanted- grocery store, restaurants, Sleeping Bear Dunes and the cute little town of Lake Ann. Wouldn't have changed a thing except wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back.
I can not say enough amazing things about this rental. It was absolutely perfect for the four of us on a week vacation. The cottage was impeccably clean, well stocked with everything you needed and things you didn’t know you needed. Joel had a wonderful s’more making basket for us and so many other thoughtful gestures like leaving a picnic basket out to use with a nice note inside. We hired a photographer to take pictures of us at the property because it was so beautiful. The lake is beautiful and serene. I spent my mornings sitting on the dock drinking coffee. We had such a relaxing time using the corn hole toss and hanging out by the fire. We enjoyed the kayaks everyday exploring the lake. I really didn’t want to leave. Joel, you have an amazing gem on the lake. Thank you!
The property was well maintained, perfectly stocked with all the necessities and the views couldn't be found anywhere else! This stay was just my husband and I, but would also be perfect for a smaller family. Communication with the property owner was easy as well. If you're looking for the perfect spot for a lakeside getaway with easy access to Traverse City this is the best you'll find!
The cottage was just perfect for my husband and I and the view and lake are AMAZING! So nice that there was a fishing boat, paddle boat and kayaks to use and plenty of wood for the fire pit. The cottage was very clean and very tastefully decorated. Joel was readily available when we needed him and very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We will definitely be back!!
We had a great time at Green Lake cottage. It was very clean and quaint. We all really enjoyed the kayaks and also brought a paddle board to use. It was so nice to get away from everything and unwind. My only complaint was that there was a slight musty smell which I would imagine is typical when you are near a lake. We (especially our boys) really appreciated the s'mores basket. We drove into Glen Arbor and Traverse City several days but also really enjoyed our time at the cottage.
The pictures in the listing do not do this place Justice…it is truly an amazing little place - perfectly decorated and clean. It was the perfect size for our family of 5 (kids are 4, 6, and 9). We kayaked and paddle boarded anytime we were at the house (we brought our own paddle board), and the kids loved playing croquette in the yard and roasting s’mores (thanks for the s’more makings!). My kids were annoyed that I rented such “a small house” when we showed up, and to be honest, I was hesitant that there wasn’t a washer/dryer, or dishwasher, but we didn’t need any of it after all, and my oldest declared this “the best vacation yet” when we were leaving. We can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful week at the cottage on Green Lake. Joel was a great host and answered all of our questions. The cottage was clean and well stocked with amenities. (Thanks for the s’mores ingredients for the fire pit!) We brought our own boat and enjoyed Green Lake. We caught several fish off the dock and directly out in the bay. The cottage is on a quiet section of the lake. It’s very calm. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and had several excursions up the Betsie River. It was so clear we could see small turtles and fish on our trips. There is plenty of shade in the afternoon. We spent several afternoons sitting on the dock and relaxing. We also went hiking in Empire and several nearby nature parks. Thanks for letting us have the opportunity to spend a week at your cottage!
Booked this property rather quickly for a birthday weekend, centered around horseback riding in Manton and visiting TC. Walked in and it only took, maybe 2.3 seconds, to know we struck gold! Every single detail is perfection. The setting is ideal, walk out to the dock, beautiful quiet lake, hammock, fire pit, pristine. Inside is decorated with modern rustic touches, extremely clean and very comfortable for a family of 4. 2 coffee pots, barstools, fully equipped quaint kitchen, even fans in every room. Finishing touches… a basket of fresh smore making ingredients, and a vase with freshly cut greenery. Truly memorable… couldn’t be more perfect! We will be back!
