Discover Blackclough Farm and stay at the cottages collection, aptly named after a group of three cottages accommodating up to 12 guests - perfect for creating those special family memories and getaways in the heart of the Peak District. Dog owners are kindly reminded that the property is set on farmland, with livestock in nearby fields. Dogs must be kept on a lead.



This spectacular spot, nestled in the Staffordshire Moorlands, offers dramatic views of undulating hills that stretch for miles, surrounding the farm on every side. The location consists of three cottages:



• The Farmhouse (Sleeps 5 across two bedrooms - 1 double and 1 triple, with two bathrooms)



• The Middle Barn (Sleeps 5 across 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles and 1 single, with two bathrooms)



• The End Barn (Sleeps 2 with one mezzanine-level bedroom and 1 bathroom)



Each of the cottages has its own kitchen/dining and lounge area. The Farmhouse and Middle Barn can be conjoined through a shared boot room, while The End Barn is detached, making it ideal for grandparents or others seeking a quieter space in the evenings!



Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, within the dramatic Staffordshire Moorlands, the property is located in a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the nearby opportunities for walking, mountain biking, and climbing, while the village of Flash and the spa town of Buxton are within easy reach for local amenities and attractions. It's a place where you can truly relax in serene surroundings, with only the sounds of a nearby river and sheep as your neighbours.



We welcome up to two dogs to stay for an additional charge. Dogs are only permitted to stay in either The Farmhouse or The Middle Barn. We kindly request that dogs be over 12 months old, and that they are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.



Please be aware, as this property is in a rural location during extreme weather conditions or peak winter periods, the road leading to the property may become inaccessible. We recommend guests plan to arrive before dark when possible, and to check weather forecasts in advance during the winter months.

    The interiors were lovely and the location excellent There were insufficient towels left for all the guests. It was a cold weekend and it took a lot of heat to keep it a comfortable heat. A nuisance having to go out to buy logs for the wood burners. All the outside bins were pretty well full when we arrived and there didn’t seem to be any instructions about putting them out for collection

    Great place for a get together, the living areas and bedrooms were all lovely. The surrounding area is beautiful, make sure you take the 10 minute walk down to Three Shires Head!

    All three homes are beautifully furnished and very well equipped with high end appliances and fittings. The pictures do not do it justice.Amazing surroundings.

    Absolutely fantastic holiday rental! The property has been recently renovated to an exceptionally high standard and there is plenty of room for a group of 12. The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking views and beautiful scenery all around. It’s also incredibly family-friendly, with lots of open space for the kids to run around and play safely. Every detail has been thought of—the house is extremely well equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. We couldn’t have asked for more!

    Everyone who came love the outdoors and the freedom to walk straight out the back door. We had a very cold spell so access needs to be considered if the weather is forecast to be bad. We will be back.

    Was more than enough space for 8 adults and 3 kids. Great communal spaces but also nice to have your own privacy by closing the connecting doors if needed! The beds were all super comfy, as well as the pillows. I am really fussy with pillows but these were amazing. My son has even asked me to buy him the same mattress and quilt that was on the bed there. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen roll/salt & pepper etc Beautiful setting with some fantastic views. Quite remote yet only 15 minutes drive from Buxton. There are some really great walks from the cottage - around 15 minute walk to the three shires head. The last 5 minutes drive to the cottage is quite hairy with very thin roads and some sheer drops either side, however we did arrive in the dark and thick fog! So I would suggest making sure to arrive in day light! All in all a really great stay and was well worth the money we paid! We’d definitely stay here again :)

    So lovely and spacious and had great communal areas as well. Really close to Buxton and great walks in the Peaks. There was excellent and clear communication in the lead up to it. I will definitely come back and have already recommended it to others.
