From the station at Bodmin Parkway you can walk to NT Lanhydrock House. From the cottages you can walk to the Camel Valley Vineyard to sample and purchase the local wines. Within walking distance is the local pub and the Camel Trail, a level disused railway line, with an abundance of wildlife along the Camel Estuary - ideal for walkers, cyclists and horse riding. The properties are ideally situated to visit the North Cornwall coastal resorts of Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac, and Padstow - home to Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant. Close by are the South Cornwall coastal resorts of Fowey, Looe and Polperro, or take a trip to the famous Eden Project. A short drive away is unspoilt Bodmin Moor, Rough Tor and Brown Willy. Golf, horse riding and fishing are all nearby. Shop and restaurant 1½ miles, pub ½ mile. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The weather was cold, windy and wet when we were there and it took a while to get the cottage warm and cosy. Close to Lanhydrock and Bodmin Moor, Tintagel and Padstow not far away, so a nice place to have as a base for mid Cornwall

The property is an active farm. The barn conversion is clean and roomy, with great bathroom and bedroom downstairs and a sunny private deck. We were made very welcome when we arrived. The farm is central to most of Cornwall - highly recommended.

Steve and Katie made us feel so welcome. The barn is just perfect for curling up on the sofa, in front of the wood burner with a glass of your favourite tipple. The sound of birds and the horses in the morning was a bonus. Access to Bodmin moor and the coast is easy in any direction. There is a great pub and the Camel trail just a ten minute walk. I would recommend the barn if you want to retreat and hunker down away from the hustle but be close enough to drive to amenities in twenty minutes. Perfect for couples. The Coach House is ideally located if you want to explore Cornwall as it is easy to travel north, south, east and west from this central location. The cottage itself is very spacious and comfortable and all the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard. The owner lives next door and is very helpful and approachable. I would highly recommend a stay at The Coach House, especially if you have a dog as it is very dog friendly. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
