We enjoyed our stay at the little blue cottage. It was very clean and quaint

It was like home away from home! Our three night stay was very comfortable due to this little lovely cottage. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is beautiful and the drive to it was gorgeous! The kitchen was stocked with most kitchen items which is very convenient. I did note there were some items in that bathroom, such as hair dryer, iron, and a few other items. We did not need to use those, but it was nice knowing that they were there just incase. I highly recommend staying at The Blue Door Cottage, 10/10!

This cottage is so cute and lovely! Very clean and had all the necessities for a week or a few days stay. I spent a lot of time on the deck by the wooded area of the cottage reading and writing and listening to the birds. There is a small creek too. The cottage had a nice kitchen, living room, bathroom and a bedroom upstairs. I had some issues with the connection with the internet to watch tv at night, but the owner, Karen, was very quick responding and the matter resolved itself. I had a great breakfast at Amish Country Donut & Cafe and bought some sourdough donuts, cinnamon roll, and cookies to bring back home. I had a delicious lunch at Cafe 93 at the Dundee Marketplace and spent over an hour hiking at Dundee Falls at Beach City Trail. The falls were beautiful and it was great hiking and taking in the beautiful scenery. This was a much needed R & R trip. I am so glad I found this cute cottage to stay!

Very cute, quite place to go and just relax!

We stayed here after a severe winter storm. The walkway was cleared both when we got there and before we left the next morning. This was very kind and thoughtful and very much appreciated. The property was beautiful, even in the winter. Hoping to visit this summer too. Thank you for your hospitality.

The little cottage was so cute and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We loved sitting in front of the fireplace to read in the evenings. It was so relaxing after a day out. Thanks!

The cottage is such a cozy, comfortable and peaceful home away from home. It was snowing when we arrived and the fireplace was just perfect to warm ourselves up with! We stayed for New Year’s. When we arrived, we were greeted with a lovely note and treats to help ring in the New Year!

It was a very pleasant experience to stay at the Blue Door Cottage. The owners are very friendly and make the experience very easy. The cottage was very clean and felt warm and comfortable and the side deck was a great place to sit and relax with a view of some woods. The Amish oriented towns of Millersburg and Berlin are a short, picturesque drive from the cottage. I highly recommend this as a great choice!

What a charming little cottage perfect for 2 people. The entire process was easy and seamless. This was the first time booking through VRBO but will not be the last! The hosts were great! I loved that we had everything we needed if we decided to cook or do wash. Also nice to have a fridge to store your meats and cheeses in until checkout. It was very clean and the bed was super comfortable! With the early sunsets it was nice to spend the evening watching a movie with the electric fireplace feature build into the TV cabinet while cuddling up on the couch and sampling your finds from the day! Perfect little getaway, even for just one night.

Fantastic! This was the perfect weekend get away. This tiny house had everything we needed and was clean, quiet, and cozy. So much to do in the area. We loved it and will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

Check-in was very easy as Owner shared entry code. While small, the kitchen was well appointed including some basic items (olive oil spray, salt/pepper, a couple other seasonings). Check out was a breeze--only instruction was to have dishes washed and put away. Location was great for our needs. Rural. No road noise. Totally enjoyed sitting on the desk and watching several bird species feasting on dogwood berries! It was a lovely place and we hope to return.

It was very cozy and clean. We had problems with the tv buffering, but it was comforting, relaxing and peaceful.

Quiet clean convenient to locations .Friendly host.

At first, we were a little concerned at the location of the cottage to the residence home however when we walked in everything was absolutely spotless. We did some cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. The only complaint which is so minor there was only two paper towels on the paper towel roll left. There’s absolutely nothing else to complain about the bed is very comfortable. Wi-Fi worked great we were about 15 to 20 minutes to Amish country and the sites we wanted to see there’s a small creek right by the cottage and a lovely porch surrounded by the woods. It was a nice break from our busy life. Karen was a great host and we was not disturbed in anyway just a perfect place for a couples getaway.

Quiet secluded just right for a get away and in a great country setting

The Carlisle Inn was booked for my 3 night retreat stay, so this enabled me to find this perfectly quiet cottage close by. While I was only there at the end of the evening to sleep, the cottage was a nice and peaceful place to come to. I loved the scripture themed decor throughout the house, and I was grateful to the owner for allowing me to check in early to rest before the retreat began. The cottage was clean and peaceful, and I'd come and stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the kind hospitality and making this cottage available for rental! It was perfect in every way!

We did not stay at the property as there was no mention of it being in the owners front lawn. The parking was located with their personal vehicles and to get to the building, which was basically a large shed, you had to walk in front of the owners house. My husband and I were not comfortable with this. Had this information been disclosed we would have not have booked. While the owner responded timely, and stated the other past visitors in the past have had no issues this is not what we expected. It was a complete waste of our money as it was too late for a refund. We have stayed at multiple locations while visiting Amish Country many times over the years and have never had a bad experience until now. Disappointed is an understatement.

We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and the kindness of the hosts, who were so welcoming and helpful. We stayed the one night we were visiting the Amish country and it was a nice beautiful little cottage to sit and relax for the evening., a nice break from hustle and bustle

We loved the cleanliness and intimacy of this get-away spot. The property almost overhangs an active creek which is a nice touch. Kitchen was fully stocked with needed utensils and cookware. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for hitting all the favorite shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property, great host!

This delightful little cottage is on the property of the owner, which made it feel even more secure and convenient. It was totally private, safe and clean!! It has everything you could possibly want! We only spent a night but you could easily stay for an extended vacation. It is less than 15 minutes from anything you would want or need. The setting is serene and beautiful! We will be returning when it’s a bit warmer so we can enjoy the wrap-around porch and nature in full bloom! The owner is very kind and accommodating, great communication! It’s a real gem! Thank you!!

My husband and I just loved The Blue Door Cottage. This was our 1st time staying here and the cottage was just as described. Just the most cozy, comfy, relaxing, and peaceful home away from home. We are looking forward to staying again this fall.

Great place to stay in Ohio Amish country. 1 1/2 hours south of Cleveland airport. 15 minutes will get you to Sugarcreek, Berlin or Winesburg. All the shops and delicious food you can ask for. Cottage was very clean. Fully stocked kitchen with cooking pans, utensils, both types of coffee makers, full fridge. Bed was comfortable. Lots of blankets for keeping cozy. Peaceful creek behind cabin below the deck. Owners were easy to work with and communication was quick and good. They carefully salted our sidewalk and path to the car after a small ice storm which was very thoughtful. Highly recommended.

The Blue Door Cottage was perfect for our weekend winter getaway. The space was cozy and relaxing after a day of exploring Amish Country in the snow and cold. It was not too far from the hubbub of nearby Berlin, Sugar Creek, and Dover, and yet tucked away in the quiet, rolling countryside. We hope to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the porch and glider.

Everything about the Blue Cottage is top notch and top class.... from the easy check-in to your amazing outlook at how clean the place is to the cozy comfy downhome feeling if there is a better VRBO property I would like to see it ...would definitely stay again and would fully recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area ... My wife and I celebrated both Thanksgiving and our 16th wedding anniversary while at theBlue Cottage and the ambiance was Simply the BEST...Thanks again to Karen ... your place is a little piece of Heaven! My wife and I stayed at The Blue Door for one night. This is a property on a quiet country road with woods bordering. Immaculately clean. Nothing super fancy, but decently priced relative to what similar properties in the heart of Amish country were going for.

We stayed for 3 nights as a mid-week getaway. Purpose was to attend a live show at one of the local theaters. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you for hosting such an attractive cottage.

We had a great time. The place was very clean and cozy. We saw deer outside our window in the morning. It was very peaceful.

This off-the-beaten-path rental is the perfect size for 2. It is only about 15-20 minutes from the main Amish towns. It was so clean!!! The bed was comfortable. The home was well-equipped. All appliances were in working order. Next to the rental, there was a beautiful view with a porch swing to sit on and enjoy. The host is communicative and gracious.

Stayed 2 nights and liked it so much, we decided to stay a third night.

Very quiet, back in and clean

We enjoyed staying at this quaint little cottage. It was clean and the host was very easy to contact for any questions. It was situated perfectly to go to every town we wanted to go to. We found that the people in these peaceful little towns were so welcoming. We wore ourselves out each day and rested peacefully in the evenings and slept like babies. Thank you for this experience😉
