The Blue Anchor - a beach house that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

What a lovely chalet. Everything we needed and more. Great location on Blue Harbour Road. Have stayed on the Bay before, but this was the first time booking myself. Was recommended Filey Bay Direct from friends - they couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you for a great experience.

Had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in early March. Location of the holiday home was great within ‘The Bay’ and was a very good standard. Beds were comfortable, shower good & would be happy to book again. Communication from Paula at Filey Bay Direct was excellent with everything covered. Only negatives were parking was a bit tight with the thick bushes either side of the wooden sleeper drive, and it took us 5 minutes to get the key safe open. The code was right, but the mechanism was very stiff and needs loosening up.

Lovely stay at The Bay as always. We go every year in January for our dog’s birthday. The Blue Anchor was clean, comfortable and well equipped. A short walk to the shop, pub and beach. I enjoyed the beach themed decor! Beds were very comfortable, hot showers, everything worked. The timber slats used on the driveways are so slippery when wet but that’s an issue across most of those properties, so just be careful - especially in the dark! Overall we would look to stay again next year. Thank you :-)

Firstly we love the Bay and will definitely be back this year. It’s the first time we’ve stayed in what we would refer to as a Shally/Cabin and the weather was pretty poor so in giving 4 for Cleanliness and Condition did not affect our break at all and if it was possible to give 4+ then I would have done.

Lovely accommodation in a great location which was very clean on arrival. Communication was brilliant throughout. Well laid out with some good extra touches and all the things we required to make a it a very comfortable stay. We intend to come back again in the near future too.

It’s the second time staying on Filey Bay and we loved it just as much as the first time. We hired 4 units for a family break and Paula sorted it all out for me without a hitch. We even got a discount for being a returning customer. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. Even down to buckets and spades for the beach and camp chairs. The whole site is beautifully kept and its minutes walk to get to the beach. I can not think of a single thing to complain about, the whole break was spot on. I would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to return.

Nice accommodation but lacks a few comforts. We were lucky enough to have good weather and were not able to sit in comfort outside. There was a picnic table but for us oldies it was not ideal seating. Also the sofa was a little uncomfortable. I’ve since been told it’s a new sofa so perhaps it’s down to my old bones. I did feel that the property was not cleaned thoroughly. Doors and under the sofa had weeks of dust. Overall a nice spacious base close to the beach and nice that its dog friendly. Good customer service. I was kept up to date with everything regarding the holiday.

Lovely relaxing Easter, great facilities at The Blue Anchor comfortably and clean.Weather was kind as well.

We had a great stay, the property was clean and comfortable. The location was ldeal for all North Yorkshire locations of which we visited a few. The site is well situated clean and tidy and plenty of amenities, I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a great stay.
