The Barn in Banavie near Fort William

Beautifully refurbished cottage with amazing views. Well appointed with comfortable furnishings. Great place for a couple as a base for exploring Fort William, Ben Nevis, and Glen Coe. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend. The cottage was every bit as spectacular as the online pictures show. Another reviewer mentioned being surprised by the close proximity of a neighboring house, but that is shown in online pictures. However, it was disappointing that there was no French Press for coffee making as the pictures would imply. In fairness coffer marker is not listed in the amenities, but pictures speak a thousand words. There was no means of making coffee. Amenities list a dryer (VRBO) - this is a dryer rack so plan accordingly. We had a delightful visit to the Fort William area and loved returning each evening to the Barn cottage.

This property is located perfectly with easy access to Fort William and wonderful views of Ben Nevis. The cottage was clean, nicely designed, and for the most part well equipped. I would remind renters bring all their own toiletries as this cottage doesn't provide any type of cleaners outside of hand soap. Also, if you are a coffee drinker, bring your own french press. We really missed having a nice cup of coffee to accompany our view. The owner stopped by to check on us and was a lovely man. We had no problems and everything went smoothly. One thing that surprised me was having another lodging within 50 yards. I wasn't expecting a group being right below us. Just know that this cottage isn't as isolated as it looks in the pictures. However, that being said, it was still quiet and we had no problem with the neighbors. We would definitely stay here again.
