Tappan Lake Area: Sunny, peaceful Cottage with Fishing Pond on 13 Gorgeous Acres

The property was perfect for us. The woods were a beautiful setting for my walk. The path was maintained, private, shady and provided a beautiful setting. The cottage was comfortable and nice. We would stay here again.

Very cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed looking at the artwork beautifully arranged throughout the house. We are looking forward to coming again. The people at the general store are wonderful!!!

Clean and fully equipped kitchen. We love the upstairs room! TV is great. I love getting out on the trail around the spring fed pond. So peaceful!

Wonderful place to stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and well equipped and the property was well kept. It was pet friendly and very spacious. Although we didn't have little ones, the loft area was very cute for a family with kids. My husband very much enjoyed the private fishing pond.

Cozy cottage on a beautiful property. Well equipped for kids and adults alike (games, movies, books, fire pit). Hosts were amazing…very communicative and helpful. Close to Tappan Lake and within walking distance of a wonderful General Store that has been in business for over 100 years…they make their own ice cream! So much fun and very relaxing.

Everything was just as described! The cottage was comfy for all six of us and the property was beautiful! We enjoyed fishing in the private pond and curling up inside with books and movies when the storms rolled in!

The property was lovely. The path to the pond was not the only hiking path. There was one that was even longer that was great. The cottage was great. My husband and I and our adult daughters had enough room and the kitchen was great. Communication was great. Jim was friendly and responsive to our emails. Great stay.

This cottage home and property always in top condition. Have been there about four times through the years and always have loved it! Our dog has room to enjoy outside, cleanliness is great, and ice cream at the general store!

I was looking for a reset weekend. Got to relax and enjoy nature from deer to pine squirrels and ground hogs. Pond was nice lots of hungry fish, not very relaxing when they bit one after another. All around great weekend.

The cottage was comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed. Fire pit was a plus. Neighborhood was quiet. The pond was lovely. Parking was a little tricky with the boat but we made it work. Honestly we wish we stayed longer. It was close distance to a few lakes so we went to different ones. A plus also having the general store close by. Would definitely consider booking again when we come back to the area. Host was very responsive and friendly. Nothing negative about the stay. Would recommend!.

Always a pleasant stay at Jim and Eleni’s! My son always finds something new to entertain himself with upstairs in the kid area, and the beds are so comfortable. Enough space for a family of three to spread out and also spend time together. We wait to come back!

Beautiful property, lots of open space for the kids to play. Well kept paths make a lovely walk to the pond. Fishing with the grandkids was so much fun! Overall great place for a family to spend time!

We had a great stay at the Fleming’s cottage. The cottage has everything you need. It was so nice to have a small fishing pond right on the property. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Deersville general store and both Tappan and Clendening Lakes. Everyone enjoyed their stay.

We had a wonderful time at this location - the main draw of which was the pond so that our kids could go fishing. The fish were biting nearly nonstop much to the kids’ delight. The house itself was very comfortable and clean. It also had many things that were just “bonus” - like a net for fishing and a set of checkers that my kids and father made good use of. We saw deer several times and walked up to the General Store twice for ice cream. Over all, it was lovely. :)

There’s nothing I can say bad about our stay. Looking forward to next year.

Very nice and scenic my sons really loved the upstairs and it’s just a really nice well kept cottage feels like a home .
