Stayed Nov 13, 2025The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kris took great care to make us feel at home and make our stay easy and enjoyable. The location was great for exploring northern New Mexico. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025This is one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in. The cottage is even nicer than the pictures, with vaulted ceilings. It has a lovely deck with chairs next to the river that we enjoyed every day. The location is great for wine tasting at local wineries, and easy to get to Taos for museums, galleries, and restaurants. Our hosts were easy to communicate and have a house book with lots of great suggestions for local walks. We hope to return next year.

Stayed May 1, 2025This is our second stay at this wonderful cabin, nestled in a picturesque canyon-it offers the perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility, with easy access to explore Taos, Santa Fe, and charming villages, like Chimayo and Truches near Dixon. The interior is thoughtfully designed with artistic textiles and artwork, making it feel like a well cared for home, and it is perfectly stocked with essentials in the event you might have forgotten something on your grocery run. The separate deck by the river is a serene spot to enjoy nature and the warm friendly hosts make this our top choice for a return visit.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025Take me to the river is a wonderful property with breath taking views of the mountains and the Embudo river. The house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed having dinner and early morning coffee on the deck right next to the river. Host are on property and there to answer any questions you have. Awesome place and we would definitely stay there again.

Stayed Mar 25, 2025Take Me to the River was as advertised. It was a great location to visit Taos and Santa Fe and there's good hiking closer to Dixon as well. Would definitely recommend you visit the small grocery store in Dixon. Kris and Cedric were great. They were attentive but not intrusive. We'd definitely stay again.One Google Maps warning. If you visit the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge don't take the route that uses 570 and 567 unless you want a bit of an adventure. 567 is a narrow twisty gravel road that hugs the side of the canyon. It was fine in our Subaru, but not what we expected.

Stayed Jun 26, 2024My wife and I had a little get-a-way from the heat and hustle of ABQ at beautiful place in Dixon. The home was very comfortable and the artistic touches were very thoughtful. The property was such a wonderful escape with the running creek, the view of the starry sky, and the close proximity to the cute town of Dixon and fantastic hiking at the Santa Barbara campground. We would definitely book this property again!
