This updated cottage was perfect for us and our dogs! The kitchen was well-equipped, bed was comfy and the screened porch was awesome! Everything was super clean throughout. Nice lake view, beach and dock. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Great location that felt like a private getaway, but close to anything we needed. The floor plan would work well for two couples or a family with kids. Thanks for a wonderful week!

We absolutely loved this rental. The beach area was great for family activities. Plenty of space to run around, swim, toss a ball around and have the fire pit going. The dock was great for fishing and older kids. The communication was easy and reply’s were prompt. Wish we had more days there.

Host provided fast accurate and helpful feedback. Location was perfect. House was very clean and just as described. Looking forward to a return visit.

Our stay was so relaxing’ We loved being at the lake. The kids enjoyed every minute of their time playing on the beach area.We’d love to come back and stay longer. We are hoping to come back for Spring break!

We had an amazing time. We are originally from Miami, FL and came to visit family. We had a bbq at the house and enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, made s’mores, bbq and watched the beautiful view. The house was very clean and everything we needed was available in the house. Will definitely be coming back.

Lake view was beautiful, and it was great having a screened in porch to sit on in the evenings.The host was very accessible anytime we had a question. This was our second stay, and we plan on returning next year.

We have stayed in 2 of the 3 Hayes lake/beach properties over the years and this home more than once. The added beach is wonderful, the location is great, house is clean, check in is easy. We have now added a daughter in law to our family and this home accomodated 4 adults and our dog well. Look forward to our next stay.

Great house with great view of the lake. The screened in porch was wonderful. Sitting on the dock with a glass of wine during sunset was fantastic. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for my whole family.

Excellent waterfront and beach location for a family. We stayed two weeks are really enjoyed the property. The manager is a great communicator.

The house was in a perfect location with excellent view of the lake and passing boats. It was equipped with everything you needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The upstairs screened in deck was perfect for our nights of gameplay, and our dogs could sit out there with us without fear of them going astray. The host/manager was the best. I have come across yet. quickly replying to my every question and concern, id say she went above and beyond. Although it did rain every day of our vacation, we did manage to get in the lake every day in between the rain. The outside had a very cute beach that the kids enjoyed and it was equipped with canoes and kayaks and lifejackets. I managed to catch the beautiful sunset from the dock our last night there. it was beautiful to watch. There are no cons to this rental property or host and I highly recommend and will be back.

Perfect lake house with direct view of fireworks!

It was perfect for us. We enjoyed everything about this little house. It was well stocked and well kept. We really enjoyed the lake, th dock and beach were awesome

Nice beach on property..Downstairs very bright, nice bathroom.House is old. Could use some TLC. Had a couple of roaches the first two nights, but Terminex was just done before we arrived so they were probably left from earlier.

We have stayed at this home several times and always enjoy ourselves. The home is clean and spacious and this spot on the lake has to be one of the best! Great area for tubing and wakeboarding and a short boat ride to Pappa Doc’s.

We loved our stay at sweetwater. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. They had pots, pans, knives silverwear, utensils, towels paper products and even some fishing poles. We enjoyed renting the boat a few days. The boat is older but did the trick and the kids loved being able to use the tube!

My son, daughter in law and my 2 granddaughters came up from Myrtle Beach for 3 nights. The house was absolutely perfect for our family and was completely equipped with every possible item you may need for any length of stay. The beach was wonderful for our 5 year old.

This house is exactly how it looks in pictures! It was wonderful to stay out! The beach and lake are also just wonderful to have. My dad really enjoyed having the screened in porch and sitting out there while sipping his morning coffee. Getting the key out of the box is a little tricky but follow the directions and you’ll get it!

The Lake House was accurately listed, and a Wonderful relaxing vacation home. The small beach area was great along with the fire pit, canoes and dock. Inside was very comfortable and well stocked with all the essentials. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. the hosts were easy to get in contact with. If we get an opportunity, we will definitely stay here again. It was everything you would imagine a Lake Cottage would be like.

My husband, mother-in-law and I stayed over Christmas. The photos in this listing do not do it justice. It was so warm and cozy, but with plenty of space. Our host, Georgia, is simply wonderful. All you need to bring are literally your clothes! We will definitely be back soon!

What a beautiful getaway! The cabin was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and we loved spending evenings by the fireplace—it added such a warm and relaxing touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after our days of exploring. We were also so grateful that the cabin is pet-friendly! It was wonderful to bring our furry companion along to enjoy the trip with us. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat!

Great relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday

Loved setting, house was very comfortable, 2 living areas (very nice for reading), 2 HUGE porches (one screened). Trails to walk with dogs. The most clearly labeled instructions I've seen (all switches were labeled), nice supply of cooking dishes, firewood was provided for firepit on beach.

Great space and beautiful lake access. Nothing fancy but everything you could need.

Our family of 4 enjoyed your cabin so much! The location was perfect. Downtown Charlotte is about 30 min away, yet the cabin felt secluded and to our selves. The beach area was perfect. We enjoyed sitting and fishing off the dock each day/evening. Dinner on the screened in porch was perfect. Thank you for the wonderful beds, sheets, and towels. We will definitely be back again.

House was in a lovely neighborhood. Enjoyed morning coffee on the dock, and even got so see some baby deer! The shaded beach was enjoyed by all of us. We definitely want to go back again!

Beautiful house and lake!

The property was exactly as advertised; clean, comfortable, and spacious. Initially, there was no problem with any of the amenities, but eventually there were a few speed bumps. In each case, our host was immediately responsive and worked to resolve each issue as best that could be done. There was no indication of neglect, only poor timing/luck. Only one issue remained unresolvable, and we were graciously compensated for the inconvienence. I would recommend this property and would stay there again should we visit the area in the future.

We spent most of our time on the spacious and beautiful screened-in porch. The views are lovely, and Georgia's (the owner) listing accurately describes and depicts her welcoming home. Fishing from the property's dock was a highlight. Georgia is a treasure and highly responsive. Thank you for being so kind.
