Sunshine Cottage, Saugatuck. Walk downtown. Clean, crisp, colorful, convenient.

The house was extremely clean. It was easy to access. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Everything was great.

We loved our stay at Sunshine cottage. The owner was very responsive, the rooms and cottage were bright and clean. We used the cute outside picnic table for a BBQ night, and had a wonderful fire that the owner set up for us on one of our nights. Close to bike path and downtown area where we enjoyed lazily watching boats go by, and had amazing food. Will stay here again!

Everything was awesome. Property was wrll kept, owners setup a bonfire to use, just far enough out of down town to be quiet but only a few mins away.

The bathroom was a little small..otherwise this cottage was perfect. So cute! Beds were comfortable. Plenty of upstairs and downstairs space. Kitchen more than adequately stocked wtth dishes etc. The owner was in contact before our vacay with all the info we needed. Would go again.

This was a beautiful, clean property and communication with the owner was on point. John even stopped by to check the propane tank on the grill and lit a bonfire for us. We will definitely return to this lovely location and Saugatuck Michigan is awesome!

This is a quick bike ride or walk right into downtown. The path entrance is literally right across the street. There is a dollar general and a gas station in walking distance, if you need any last minute items or forgot anything. The cottage is very clean, the beds are comfy. There is only 1 bathroom, so just be aware of that if you are coming with a larger family or group. The basement is set up as an entertainment area, along with the garage. We would definitely stay there again!

My kids absolutely love the play area in the basement.

Sparkling clean, super comfortable place in a great location. This property is close to everything, the area is easy to navigate and the local shuttle is wonderful if you don’t want to deal with driving or parking. There were only two of us, but it could comfortably accommodate a family. We also thought the landscaping and outdoor areas were great, although we were here for too short a time to really take advantage of them. We would definitely recommend the property to others and return. The community itself is amazing and warrants further exploration!

This was the best rental we have ever stayed at. The cottage was extremely clean (and I am very picky). It was very well organized and thoughtfully laid out with directions on how to care for the place and where to find things. We loved the decorations. We did a lot of cooking and grilling and they had everything we needed - way more than most rentals. The way the provided a space to gather in the garage and the basement was awesome. The location was very close to downtown Saugatuck - about a 25 minute walk or a few mintues in the car or by bike. We also went to hike and ride bikes at Shore Acres Park which was about 5 mintues away by car. We will be back for sure.

This cottage is conveniently located to downtown Saugatuck, Dune Rides and Saugatuck State Park. Enjoyed the use of the gas grill and full kitchen. Spaces were very clean and nicely appointed. Would definitely stay here again.

This has got to be the cleanest and best maintained vacation rental / bnb that we have ever stayed at. You can tell the care the hosts have taken in every little detail. The quality of finishing work is also great, which is a nice change from the typical shoddy DIY quality you see in vacation rentals. We stayed in late September such that we needed heat (overnight) and air conditioning (during the day), and both worked flawlessly. Would absolutely stay here again!

The place was perfect! Very clean and organized, comfortable sleeping arrangements and extremely easy and convenient check-in.It was the perfect location for us too. We drove downtown to enjoy the shops, but then also had the quiet and cozy backyard to enjoy in the morning.Definitely plan to stay here next time

Loved the space especially the outside picnic area and fire pit. Living room furniture was not very comfortable for older folks but beds were. Would have been nice to have TV in bedrooms but realize no space for that or a dresser

We loved our time - beautiful town and the path is peaceful. The backyard is relaxing and a perfect place to chill. The pull out bed could use a pillow top comforter and the hot water could be turned down a notch. We so appreciated all the helpful labels too!! We want to stay longer next time!!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was conveniently located to downtown Saugatuck and had several restaurants within walking distance. The bike/walking path right across the street was an added plus. We enjoyed several beaches that were close by. John thinks about everything which makes your stay wonderful! Don’t look any further!!

My sister and I stayed three nights here while we explored the surrounding cities and shorelines. This cozy, cheerful space gave us just the perfect spot off the beaten path to rest in between. Spotless, cheerfully painted, spacious and quiet. We met the host on site one day…..he was lovely. We would without a doubt stay here again.

This place was great. Clean. Friendly. Amazing location. My son even got a toy stuck on the roof and John came to the rescue no questions asked. Super kid friendly. Lots of games inside. Everything was in pristine condition and the games in the basement were an added bonus!!

This was a cute place for my family of four. The house was clean and nicely updated. Perfect for what we needed. My boys really liked the game tables in the basement. The host was great! He even started the fire pit for us a couple of nights, which my boys loved. Highly recommend!

It was the perfect place for our family to stay while exploring Michigan. The owner was very prompt with answering any questions we had about the cottage and the area. It was so clean and had everything we needed!

Property was just as described and just what we needed for our 2 day stay. The host's response time was excellent and he answered all my questions. It was our first time visiting Saugatuck Mi., and we loved it. The location of this beautiful Cottage was close to everything you need from, gas, food, winery, liquor store, brewery and of course the 2 beautiful beaches/ Oval and Douglas beach. Needless to say, we will be returning soon.

Absolutely wonderful place, very clean, warm environment, great for both small and big kids. We loved that it was 5 mins to everything and the complementary fire that was done for us on Friday night was icing on the cake! We loved our stay!!

The location was perfect for me. I loved all the sunlight. Everything worked great. We didn't need or use the basement area, but the washing facilities sure came in handy when unexpectedly needed. Sorry we didn't have a chance to enjoy the backyard bonfire, but we had another commitment. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I wanted a quick get away for our anniversary and this spot was perfect! The convenience and proximity to town was great. The house was very clean and modern. We would definitely stay again!

The cottage was well appointed for my family with two children. The kids really enjoyed the games in the basement. During our stay we cooked a couple of meals and found that kitchen had adequate supplies. The walking path across the street was convenient and made for a nice way to get to town, though it was cold and rainy during much of our trip, so we opted to drive most of the time.

We had a few hiccups in the beginning but the host was super accommodating and easy to communicate with. Overall it’s a great place for a small group, clean, and a nice walk to downtown.

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage is centrally located to area attractions. The landscaping is impeccable and creates a sense of privacy despite being so close to two intersecting roads. Check in was seamless, instructions were clear. The basement is a fun hangout and we enjoyed the firepit on our last night.The only downfall I really see is lack of bedroom furniture and the Adirondack chair in the living room is uncomfortable.

We stayed here during Holland’s 2025 Tulip Time. Short drive to downtown Saugatuck and 15 minute drive to downtown Holland. Cozy updated cottage, super clean, extremely comfortable beds with quality linens and pillows. Cheerful decor with lovely art from local artists, and the cutest figurines in the yard. Community fire pit was inviting but the weather was too cold to use while there. We had a glitch checking in with wrong access code but owner responded and rectified immediately. Only two small complaints —when the furnace turns off, there is a banging noise; and the hot water is extremely hot so take care not to get scalded. Absolutely wonderful place to stay and would surely return!! Our compliments to the owners!!

Wonderful little place. All amenities provide were lovely. Easy check out. Located between Holland and South Haven. Downtown Saugatuck was just 1 mile away.

This place was clean, spacious and fun! We enjoyed cooking our own meals in the ample kitchen, loved the extra space on the lower level for morning coffee and conversation while some still slept upstairs, game night in the spacious living room and a cozy bonfire at the community fire pit. Location was very close to downtown and all the fun shops, scenery and restaurants. Quick easy checkout with little to no responsibilities. Highly recommend and would stay again!

This was our second autumn stay here, and definitely not our last! Cute, very clean cottage with everything you could ever need plus a beautiful yard with a huge fire pit and an amazing view of the starry sky. Close enough to walk into town. The perfect place for our weekend getaway!

this place is a GREAT value for what you pay. everything in the listing and pictures are accurate. it is close to lots of great restaurants and shops, and is filled with fun things to do. we stayed here on a “bridge” night between two other more expensive properties and frankly really liked this one the best. cute, thoughtful, everything you need!

This property is well taken care of with everything you need for your stay! I appreciate how clean and organized it was—the owners really put a lot of thought and consideration into the condo. My family (2 adults, 4 young children) had a great time exploring the area. You can walk into Saugatuck and to the little coffee shop nearby. It was perfect for us!
