Sunset Beach Haven; Seriously Waterfront-It's Like Living on a Boat, Whidbey

“Like living on a boat” is as best a summary as I can give for this property. You look out the windows and all you see is vast ocean. The water laps up right under the deck and it’s one of the only properties with a deck to sit out and enjoy this stunning view. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The owner is also very communicative and a pleasure to work with. The thoughtfulness into everything to better enjoy the property was apparent.

This house is awesome!!! What an amazing experience for our family. God blessed us with this incredible house, on a spectacular beach with a spirit filled sunset experience. We hope to be back next spring!

Everything was just as pictured. The house is right on the water. We saw whales, and beautiful sunsets.

Beautiful views!!! We had a crazy variety of weather during our trip, which was wonderful. We even saw whales on our last day. The property is well stocked and the beds were comfy. Definitely recommend!

What a fabulous place for three girlfriends to have a girls weekend! This location was magical with sweeping views of the Puget Sound, Olympic mountains and San Juan Islands. The hosts we so great with communication and they have the place outfitting with everything you could need for your stay. Will defiantly be going back.

The communication and considerate provisions and information provided by the hosts is the best we have ever experienced. The house was adorable and so well appointed. We felt immediately at home and relaxed as soon as we walked in and the views were phenomenal. Sunsets there are magical. Thank you again to the amazing hosts. Definitely will return in the future.

The house and the setting were exactly what we wanted! Right on the water! Loved hearing the waves crash against the shore. The house was very well stocked, and the hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The furniture and bed were comfortable; the shower hot with ample pressure. The whole place was very clean and cozy. The house is close to town and to many restaurants and grocery stores.

The view from and location of this property is stunning. The house was very cozy and was very well stocked with any and everything that one could possibly need. Wish we could have stayed longer, we loved it!

This house has an amazing location with beautiful views and wonderful, responsive hosts. Julie and Peter checked in regularly and answered all questions quickly. The house is organized and stocked very thoughtfully, so that guests can immediately feel at home. We appreciated being able to take walks on the beach in addition to our favorite hikes nearby. We spent a wonderful family Thanksgiving here and hope to return in coming years!

Well supplied clean and comfortable home. Check in was easy. Host responded quickly to questions which were few. EV charging a challenge in the area. Would have been helpful to know current tide timing precluded walking on beach except for 6am

Once we got used to the water lapping against our home, we really enjoyed the location and all the sights we could see.

Lovely warm home, truly felt like being on a boat. Waves crashed right at the house! Beautiful view of the ocean, islands and sunset. Fantastic weather! Great location for being on Whidbey and close to Anacortes. We loved every minute of our stay! Friendly, accommodating hosts! Well-furnished kitchen - everything you could need.

Julie and Peter’s place is the perfect get away! Close to many local attractions to keep you entertained but beautiful and quiet for a cozy stay in. Truly paradise.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We loved watching the water for sea life like seals, ducks and other birds. Even though there was stormy weather while we were there we were able to enjoy the beauties of the earth.The home is set up with everything you could need. The beds are comfortable. It is very clean and well cared for. It was one of our favorite places we have stayed

Had the most wonderful time at this home that is quite literally on the ocean. Stunning views. Quiet and peaceful. Can't wait to go back.

We were able to rest and relax at home or see the sights and had so many opportunities for things to do within an easy drive. Being on the waters edge is so calming. We enjoyed the sunsets, beachcombing, and had 3 otters that we were able to watch regularly. The fire pit was nice as well. Peter and Julie are the best of hosts in that they checked in by text several days after we were in the house and then left it to us to contact them as needed. We were able to enjoy the house as if it were ours. Highly recommend this VRBO!

All perfect - location directly at the sea - great hosts - enough space for parking - all facilities you need for a relaxed stay including dish washer and washing machine - but above all stands the emotion created by this location every second we looked outside the windows to the sea or sitting on the deck relaxing and listening to the sound of the sea

The view is just amazing! I had hoped to be out on the deck everyday during our trip but Mother Nature had other plans. But the beauty of this property is that you can still enjoy the view from inside and stay warm and dry! Julie and Peter are the best hosts! And there are tons of thoughtful amenities like binoculars to borrow, filtered water, and a 'did you forget something' basket in the bathroom. We can't wait to come back!!

Very cute house with an incredible view. Loved the deck out front. Was nice to find a place with a pack-n-play, high chair and baby toys. The heat source was a hot vent along the floor, so we had to keep our 12 month crawler away from it. Great location for exploring the island. Saw sea lions l, otters and lots of birds.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The home was cozy and welcoming. We had everything we needed! The hosts have clearly put in great effort to ensure their guests have a perfect stay. The hosts were very communicative and check in/check out were smooth. The proximity to the water was amazing. High tide had the water right up to the rock wall/bulkhead. One evening we were treated to a seal splashing around putting on a show just off the deck. Low tide provided an amazing beach to explore the sand and tide pools. My kids (ages 2 and 5) had a blast. We will definitely return to this property.

We’ve stayed at a lot of very nice VRBO‘s but none that have paid so much attention to detail. Pete and Julie were fantastic to work with and thought of everything. From bottled water in the refrigerator, to extra supplies in the bathroom, lots of comfy blankets, extra fans, spices, coffee, etc.! The home was spotlessly clean and had an extremely well stocked kitchen. The sunsets are breathtaking from the deck and the sound of the ocean waves is incredible. These hosts are very responsive and eager to meet your needs. Cannot say enough about this beautiful home and its owners!

There are not enough positive things we can say about this property and the owners. This place served as the perfect hub for our honeymoon allowing for a central location to visit the North Cascades for hiking, travel over to Victoria and the wonderful Butchart Gardens, and spend time in Seattle this spot has it all. We ended up enjoying the views from the Island and house so much we decided to not drive to one of the nearby National Parks and stay on the island in Deception Pass, the local forts and towns for the day and then relax and enjoy all the amazing scenery on the beach and from the cottage's deck. The pictures on the listing do not do this home justice. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is and how amazing the views of the sound at sunset are. If you are looking for a house with amazing views and comfort, this one is it. We were there for our honeymoon but the owners had made sure there were plenty of things available for all family types and ages. The owners were very prompt in responses and thorough with their pre check-in process. The next time we are in the area we will definitely be staying here again as long as Peter and Julie are still the owners!
