Stayed Sep 7, 2025The place is a charming and cozy bungalow on a double wide lot with a walkout basement. 3+1 bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one up, one downstairs. I would guess it was built in the 50's or 60's and recently renovated while preserving the heritage. It has a well equipped kitchen with lots of counter space and all the appliances and gadgets you might expect including a dishwasher, plus a large propane BBQ and an outdoor fireplace with a cast iron grill. Two big TVs, one up, one downstairs. Washer and dryer are in the basement bathroom. Bonus - an air hockey table. About 50 steps down to the beach, there is a sandy sitting area atop the seawall, then a few more steps down to the beach proper. The clear clean water was still warm enough to swim in mid September and the lake bottom is hard packed rippled sand. We were able walk out approximately 200 feet before the depth was over our heads. Lake Huron seems like the ocean, but with fresh water and nothing that wants to sting or eat you. Up top, there are multiple sitting areas each with their own chairs - two decks, a gazebo and muskoka chairs on the lawn by the fireplace with a god like view of the lake. Only negative feedback would be true first world problems ... Not the greatest bed or bathroom and would be nice to have some water toys down at the beach... Gave it 5 stars anyway!

Stayed Aug 18, 2025We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. From the thoughtful welcome gifts to the clear and friendly communication before, during, and after our visit, everything felt easy and stress-free. The cottage itself was comfortable, the modern bathrooms and laundry were a bonus, and the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed for meals. The view of the lake was absolutely amazing, and the short walk down the wooden steps made beach access so convenient. We used the beach almost every day. The location on a quiet lane with friendly neighbour gave us that true cottage feel, while being just a quick 9-minute drive to Grand Bend’s main beach. On rainy days, the internet, air hockey, and board games kept everyone entertained. Overall, a wonderful balance of relaxation and convenience.

Stayed Jul 6, 2025Our time here was a great summer vacation! The sunsets are incredible. The home was nice and comfortable. The teens loved the air hockey table. The stairs down to the water were built well and stable. Yes, there is a break wall but a nice ladder was provided and easy to use. It may be difficult for someone with mobility concerns. A special spot for summer!

Stayed Sep 4, 2023We chose this cottage because it was right on Lake Huron. There were a few deceptive things in the listing. When we were there, it was extremely hot and humid and I assumed it had central air conditioning, but it didn’t. It just had two wall units one in an upstairs bedroom and one in the main great room. The bedroom one worked fantastic for that room. The living room one did not keep up. The first night it was 82 degrees inside - too hot to sleep, even in the basement. We did send a note to the managers and they brought us a new fan the next morning which helped immensely in the living room. The other main issue was how to get down to the lake. There were staircases down to the water, which was fine. However, when you got to water, there was over a 6 foot drop which required carrying a stepladder down the last flight of stairs and setting it over the break wall into the lake and climbing down. we were able to do it, but it would be very difficult/impossible for some people. We had to go out about 50 feet before we found a sandy bottom. Make sure to take water shoes. We had to wait 30 minutes to get in when we arrived because the cleaning wasn’t done. It was Labor Day so very busy for them. The managers were great to work with and overall we enjoyed our stay but just wish the listing was more accurate.

Stayed Jun 12, 2023This amazingly cozy and well-kept cottage was perfect for my family's needs! It had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so we never had to wait for the bathroom and had some privacy when needed. The sunset was stunning and the water was refreshing! My 80+ year old parents were rejuvenated such that they went for morning walks when they normally don't go for walks in the city. The downtown area was only 10 minutes drive away so we could attend the theatre, go for dinner, ice cream, and shop with no issues. We enjoyed a couple movies on the Netflix provided on the big television as well. And we also enjoyed barbecuing on the property! The cottage was welcoming and we felt very much at home. The hosts addressed any questions promptly! Would love to come by again in future!
