Stayed Oct 24, 2025Spent a weekend in this beautiful rental. Wish we could have stayed for a week! The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plus it was a short drive to French’s Point where my cousin had her wedding. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 25, 2025Had a great stay here with my family. The cottage was nicely renovated and clean. It was very close for a wedding we went to at French’s point. The loft is set up super cute with shelves with children’s books and games and even has a trundle bed. It does get a bit warmer up there as there are just wall units in bedroom for AC, as a heads up.

Stayed Sep 5, 2025We needed a convenient location to stay while attending a wedding weekend at nearby French's Point. We could not have found a lovelier, more comfortable, more convenient place to spend three days than at this beautiful home.Doug was a delight to work with: he was responsive to all our inquiries. We were advised by a friend familiar with the Stockton Springs area to make our reservations early. We're awfully glad we did. We would have hated missing out on this truly perfect place.

Stayed Aug 13, 2025We loved the cottage! It worked fabulously for two couples...each with their own living space. We went to a wedding at French's Point so the location was absolutely perfect. The host was very responsive to all the questions. There is a train track directly below the house but we only saw it once during the 4 night stay. Only the bedrooms have air conditioning so might be a bit hot on some days but it was very comfortable in the bedrooms. The bed was not firm but still a nice bed. Everything was very clean and new. Kitchen is well stocked though we did not cook. There is a nice short hike just down the road and a public beach access that we enjoyed as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025We would give this an 11/10 if I could! This house was perfect for our family's first trip to Maine. The location was ideal for us to spend multiple days in the Acadia region to the north and exploring Rockland and several points of interest and towns to the south. SUPER clean, bright and cheery, and comfortable. Bonus: We work to the sunrise each morning over the water, our teens liked the frisbee golf goal in the backyard, and nearby Sandy Point Beach is a beautiful spot with friendly people.

Stayed Jul 21, 2025Beautiful cottage with a view of the river. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to make a ‘home’ cooked meal. The beds were all very comfortable and the linens were clean and fresh. We enjoyed the various books and games provided. The quick 1-2 minute drive to the beach was the cherry on top, especially for the kids in our group. We would love to come back someday.

Stayed Jul 7, 2025It was an amazing stay, with more than enough room for the 5 of us. Also, we loved the location. Not too far to Bangor, not too far to Arcadia and the beach minutes from the house was beautiful! We were really sad that we did not book a longer stay here, we didn't even get a chance to enjoy the firepit with the beautiful view. Lastly, the property has the best host/owners! They made sure our stay went perfect and all of the guidlines were simple to follow for check-in & out, they even left us a welcome note with some delicious cookies. It was so sweet, thank y'all for such a wonderful experience! We look forward to coming back when we get a chance.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in Stockton Springs during our kids Fall break. Our daughter brought a friend so there were five of us. The girls loved staying downstairs and our son stayed upstairs while we took the bedroom on the main level. I was a little concerned about the train tracks being so close by, but we only had one train go by during our stay - not bad at all. The home was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. The property is about 20 minutes from the lovely town of Belfast where there are a handful of very good restaurants. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are just over an hour away but the drive is pretty easy.We had a great time and were thankful for the perfect home to return to at the end of each busy day. Definitely recommend!

The home was very well stocked and the online description was very accurate. The house was incredibly clean and the beds/pillows very comfortable as well! If you are looking for a great getaway in Maine, do consider this location!

Stayed Jul 28, 2024This was a fantastic property. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall cleanliness and organization that welcomed us when we arrived. The house has everything you need and it was extremely well equipped. Bonus, there are extraordinary views! It was very comfortable for our family! The pictures of this property certainly don’t do justice to how beautiful this place is.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family enjoyed 3 nights at the beautiful cottage at Sandy Point. The home itself is absolutely beautiful with every comfort of home. The view of the river was just lovely and the sunrises were incredible. Our teenagers (16 & 14) loved having the bottom floor to themselves. It was wonderful to be able to have a home cooked meal too. The owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Maine.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This home had all the necessary items needed, as if it was a move in home. It was clean and you immediately have that relaxing feeling. It's a brand new house that also includes full kitchen, BBQ, fire pit, decks to watch the sun rise, views of the Penobscot River. Our host Doug was gracious, sent E-Mails for our arrival, and basically, we wanted for nothing. This home was close to the Penobscot River Narrows Observatory, Fort Knox, and the towns Bucksport, Searsport, both had great dining. We also did some antiquing and visited a Jem stone store. This was not my first trip to Sandy Point, Maine, and hadn't been here for 50 years. My Son-in-Law and I walked along the RR tracks and reminisced about my childhood days at Grandma's house. My wife loved the cool night breeze to sleep, and the warm sunny days, and she has already said she wants know when we could go back. It was a wonderful vacation spot. Guaranteed not to disappoint.
