Stayed May 22, 2026There is a difference between Rustic and Run-Down. I hate to give a bad review, but feel I should give folks a heads-up. Many basic maintenance issues including:1. Front screen door ripped2. Front door sticking3. Peeling paint4. Unclean intake air vent5. Floors that would not clean6. Pet hair everywhere.Cracks in floors between floorboards (rustic) contain lots of dirt, could never really get the floor clean no matter how much I vacuumed, it kept pulling up the dirt from between the floorboards. Note to self.. Don NOT rent a place that allows pets.... They used throw rungs on the furniture that retained dog hair that continually would attach itself to you when you sit down.On the host, I had little communication and she seemed pleasant enough, so have no complaints there.The kitchen had a pretty serous slant to the floor, this isn't a minor maintenance issue.On the good side, they had re-done the bathroom and it was rather nice.

Stayed Aug 19, 2025This is our second stay at Stellar House. It is extremely comfortable and cozy. We also had family staying at the cottage which made it a fun and special experience. Proximity to outdoor activities and shops and restaurants is a plus. Can’t say enough about this great rental!

Stayed Jul 21, 2025This cute historic home has a comfortable queen-size bed and well-stocked kitchen. The water is hot for showering and washing dishes, and the heat worked each morning for us to “get the chill out.” We easily walked to shops and restaurants.
