This guest house/guest cottage is located on a 5 acre lush property RIGHT along the banks of the Salmon river. Fish right there if you desire! The views across the river to the magnificent Beaverhead mountain range (the Continental divide) are absolutely stunning! Photos don't do it justice.
Wallace creek also flows through the north end of the property into the Salmon river at most times of the year and there is a picnic table out there by the creek to dine at. Abundant wildlife frequent

Stayed Aug 29, 2025Our stay at the Riverfront Guest House was amazing. The VRBO is exactly how it is presented in the pictures however when you get there the river is even more spectacular when standing on the outdoor, covered patio. The views in the background are breathtaking. Our Hosts Jan and Tim were extremely attentive and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect and it was. Inside the VRBO was stocked with everything you could think of in all of the rooms. Also, the bed was very comfortable which to us was extremely important. We rate this at 100% and would definitely come back and stay again.

Stayed Aug 21, 2025Amazing property, and the most helpful hosts! We wanted to unplug for the weekend and this home was the perfect location for us. Even our dog was in total relaxation mode... Salmon is a great little town with lots of interesting shops, great coffee & bakeries, and solid restaurant choices. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jul 19, 2025My wife and I have vacationed at three VRBO properties. This visit, The River's Edge was the BEST of the three vacations. I desperately needed a vacation from work. I will say that after this seven day vacation of viewing Nature on our doorstep, fishing, and adventure that I am ready to return to work. The owners of the VRBO Jan and Tim are exceptional hosts. Stayed Jul 9, 2025We were so happy we found this beautiful place to stay in Salmon, Idaho. We loved the fact it was right on the river. Every evening, we enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife (deer, turkey, Osprey, Bald Eagles and waterfowl) in the relaxing peaceful setting. The accommodations were wonderful! The whole process of setting it up was easy. The hosts, Jan & Tim are wonderful people. It's nice they are willing to share their piece of heaven.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Over the 4th of July we celebrated our anniversary and had the pleasure of staying at this awesome VRBO right on the Salmon River. My husband and I and Bernedoodle Finn could not have enjoyed our stay more. Jann and Tim were the best hosts ever, the accommodations were perfect and the views of the River, mountains, and wildlife were spectacular! We will definitely be back!

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We couldn’t be more impressed with our accommodations. The home itself was beautiful with a western design and very comfortable. The deck is right on the river. We watched eagles, osprey and deer as we sat and had coffee in the morning. Jan and Tim were amazing hosts watching out for our every need. If you are planning a trip to Salmon, this home should be your first choice.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024THE most beautiful, serene, and comfortable house by the river! The sunrises, sunsets and moon rising (that Jan pointed out to me!), were spectacular! The grounds of this property are immaculate and absolutely gorgeous in the Fall! The Guest House was perfect for my daughters and I. Cozy, everything you could possibly need and a sanity saver! Looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed Jun 22, 2022My Son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! The property is gorgeous, and the River is clear and captivating! We spent hours watching it. The town of Salmon, Idaho, is an old town, and there is a nice grocery store and Ace Hardware! We got our groceries at the Save-on, then grilled our steaks on the outside grill! We stayed in the guest house right next to the main house, and it had everything that we needed for our stay! We had the whole property to ourselves. There was a little buck deer and some does playing in the yard in the morning! Total quietness and not a soul in sight! Check-in was easy, and check out the same. Hope to return someday!
