Spacious Lakeside Cottage - 2 Miles to Marblehead!

We had a great weekend here during Lakeside’s fall festival weekend. The house was spacious for the 4 of us, great location, loved the screened in porch, and excellent communication with the host. We would recommend this place and stay here again.

Nice location on a quiet street. Kitchen and downstairs bath remodels were very nice. Large dining area (with the help of a card table) for our group of 10, plus a living room and serene screened-in porch on a rainy afternoon. Memory foam mattresses were comfortable. Lots of Lakeside charm throughout. Took advantage of the washer/dryer convenience. The upstairs bathroom is due for a remodel. The stairway carpet and carpet remnants need a good cleaning (or replacing). The hardwood floors also need a good mopping as socks and especially little ones' feet were remarkably dingey. Overall a nice place to stay and we enjoyed it. Just a couple of low-dollar upgrades (carpet and floor cleaning) and an upstairs bathroom reno away from a 5th star.

This property could have been cleaner. Our biggest disappointment was the high cost of day passes. On two afternoons we were denied admission to the swimming pool because it was filled to capacity. We will not return to Lakeside.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Lakeside, this is it. The cottage was perfect for my family of 5, but could have easily fit another family in there, too. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our favorite cottage at Lakeside! Centrally located, brand new kitchen & appliances, room for our family, and roomy porch. I appreciated receiving info on the cottage prior to arriving regarding procedures and check-in, and communications after our stay. We had the best week thanks to this awesome cottage “home for the week!”

Best beds! Slept great. Entire place is adorable and charming. So big and great for our family. Very responsive and flexible hosts! Gorgeous kitchen. This is our second time here and we will return. Do not look further:) Book this gem!!

The farmhouse is very nice. And oh so quiet we were amazed that we only heard one other vehicle in the two days we were here. If you say there’s a little restaurant called Maw Maws diner. I highly recommend it for breakfast

An excellent stay. The bed were comfortable and we found a few kitchen necessities we had forgotten were supplied! Definitely stay again!

This rental was everything we could have asked for a getaway weekend regardless of the season. Super clean and spacious for any size family. We had a great time!

Great location, loft beds were great for our kids because they are elementary school age but it said they should not hold over 100 lbs and I would agree. Updated kitchen was beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay here! It is in a perfect location where we could walk to everything in Lakeside. The house was perfect for all 10 of us!

The accommodations we found as promised. We particularly appreciated the well planned kitchen with a good supply of dishes, pans, pots, utensils, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the porch was a favorite place to sit and enjoy conversation with each other.

This was a perfect fit for all our children and grandchildren. Everything was in great shape with many modern upgrades. Despite not having central air conditioning, the house was kept comfortably cool with the individual air conditioners throughout the house. The location was an easy walk to the lakeside activities. The only drawback for us was the exorbitant community fees.

My friends and I truly enjoyed our weekend! The house was perfect for our group; very clean and well maintained, and plenty of space. Thank you!

The Laurel haus was a great fit for our family of 6 adults and 6 kids! True to its description, the beds were comfy and kitchen was large and stocked with anything you will need. In addition to the kitchen being well equipped, the cottage had toys, books and games, sand toys, tennis racquets and fishing poles. The overall spacious layout allowed us to spread out. Many of us were drawn to the screened in porch! The kitchen and bath were updated, however, the house retained its vintage cottage charm and Lakeside feel. Location and cleanliness were excellent .

Very nice cottage for family to gather for reunion... close to central downtown, lakefront, and activities. Nice kitchen, porches, and sitting area. Only issue was cleanliness issues.
