South Bay the cottage on the point

Great location to either relax or travel to nearby attractions. Lake and property are absolutely beautiful. House was clean and pleasent to reside in, though listing was inaccurate. Pics in listing don't match actual building and need updated. Additionally, listing stated there was a fireplace inside and there is no fireplace. Finally, and maybe most importantly if you're looking forward to relaxing and fishing, you have no access to the dock shown in the listing pictures. I included a picture of the one you do have access to, which is frankly strait up dangerous (my daughter fell in trying to walk onto the boat)...The kitchen could desperately use some simple provisions and upgraded cookware. Bring your own knives and cutting board if you want to cook... The grill onsite is falling apart and needs replaced. Lastly, no shampoo or conditioner was available, nor were there any extra rolls of TP, nor any extra garbage bags, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, the master sink clogged. These are simple things that if corrected would greatly enhace the enjoyment of the stay. Location and property are great - but other cosiderations left much to be desired (especially considering the price of the listing).

This place was great for us close to town and exalant location for the venue we went to slept very well beds we comfortable wish we could stay longer

We had a very nice time. Very quiet area. Small beach area is great for swimming and walking right in. Nice big yard for our dog.

Great cabin on a cove on Long Lake. Family had a blast renting the pontoon and kayaking on the lake. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. Great family trip and will definitely return if we’re in the area again.

Had a quiet and relaxing trip. Host is friendly and the space was perfect for us. Our two dogs were able to hang out and our two kids enjoyed the fishing from the dock and kayaks. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet relaxing spot.

Great little place on a beautiful lake. Cabin was spacious for only a 2 bedroom and having 2 bathrooms with teen girls was great. Our golden loved the private beach and dock to chase minnows. We really appreciated being able to bring our pup as I think she enjoyed the lake as much as the rest of us.Kitchen had everything you needed and WiFi was nice as well. Thanks for such a great week and letting us share your cottage!

Relaxing and beautiful location. Furniture is a bit dated, but comfortable.

We loved our stay at the cottage on the Peninsula.The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The privacy was great and we were able to let our Corgi run free. He was able to go on the Pontoon with us as well. The option of renting the Pontoon was so nice. Scott was great and the stay was great!

We really enjoyed the beautiful property, and our dogs loved exploring the yard.

The cabin was bigger than expected, the pictures dont do it justice. The property was amazing with water basically all around you. And the lake was amazing super clean with great swimming opportunitys both on the property and very close by.

We just recently stayed at South Bay Cottage and it was amazing! Scott was a wonderful host and easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. The kids were occupied all weekend with the private beach, paddle boat, and kayaks. Highly recommend!
