Ben Lomond, California
Above the fog line yet an easy drive to beach, town, and all major highways this one-level house has a detached office and garage with electric car port and overlooks a gorgeous private meadow surrounded by forest with distant views of the coastal mountains. A monumental 350-year-old coastal oak tree (10,000 sq ft canopy) shades an enormous deck that transitions to multiple gardens. The open floor plan surrounds the chef's kitchen. Spending time on the the IPE deck or hot tub are guest favorites, but the meadow room with char-pit and outdoor garden shower are also beloved. Fabulous upland vistas are a short hike, where as, world class destinations like San Fransisco, Carmel, Monterey, Cupertino and Oakland are all easy day trips. Tucked up against the Zyante Sand Hills Habitat and the Quail Hollow Ranch Equestrian Park wildlife on parade is the norm. Swimming holes are near, as is the fabulous salt-water pool and club house at the Trout Farm Inn. Some of the best music venues found in the central coast are hidden gems on the mountains.

Lovely large grounds near an amazingly beautiful regional park with redwoods and many diverse microclimates. The bedrooms are small but adequate. The hot tub is a fabulous treat!
My family and I stayed here to celebrate Christmas early with our son who lives in Santa Cruz. There was plenty of room for my husband and me and our 2 daughters in the house. We absolutely loved the property!! The back yard is huge and beautiful and made us feel like we were in a forest. We loved spending time in the hot tub as well! The house was perfect for Christmas. The kitchen is very large and has every kitchen tool and appliance you could need. The living room has a wonderful gas fireplace, which looks beautiful and heats the living areas nicely. The home has loads of towels and the beds are super comfy. We enjoyed getting to know the Felton and Ben Lomond areas, which have cute shops and restaurants, and it is only about 20 minutes of scenic driving to get to the heart of Santa Cruz. We had a great time and highly recommend it!
This was a great way to introduce ourselves to the Santa Cruz mountains. Great hikes start just minutes away. Hot tub a great after-hike activity!! Thanks to the hosts!!
The house is charming and comfortable with everything one needs and the yard is very nice! We enjoyed our stay very much.
Had a nice stay in a well appointed house.
Comfortable, clean, and private. Loved the spacious outdoor area and patio. The wildlife that walked thru was a neat surprise. Magical. Yes, we would visit again.
We met family here for the Easter weekend and it was the perfect fit. We were allowed a slightly early check in to accommodate naps for the kids which got us started in a good note. The home is outdated in some respects but very clean and well equipped. The home sits on over 2 acres which makes for a very peaceful and relaxing setting, especially from the hot tub.
This is a very comfy house with a great outdoor space: hot tub, deck, a lot of land to explore for the kids. The kitchen was large with everything we needed, beds were comfortable and lots of towels were provided for the hot tub. The host provided all the information we needed, including everything to know about local trails. We enjoyed walking from the house to the quail hollow ranch county state trails. One thing to note is that the bunk bedroom and the primary bedroom are adjoining rooms
This is a beautiful property in a wonderful relaxing setting. The kitchen is really well stocked and big and perfect for a family. The house was really comfortable and the owner has thought of everything you could need. Also great is the huge deck where we spent most of our time. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.
This house is very cute and cozy but the best part is the deck and yard. Huge deck, grill, hot tub, swing, beautiful trees We had fun with visiting family, great place to get together.
A beautiful home away from home! Easy check in, great communication with the hosts (who are so nice), relaxing yard, kids room, everything you need! The location is convenient and there are more things to do than you can accomplish in a weekend. We will be back :)
Lolly was so helpful in the renting process and checking in. We had an amazing time at this comfortable and beautiful home. Has all the amenities you need and is situated in a nice quiet neighborhood. The backyard is paradise with lovely sitting areas and a hot tub for star gazing. The beds were comfortable and cooking in the kitchen was great with access to everything you needed. I love the tree outside the kitchen window! We ate and hung out on the gorgeous deck and it was such a great spot! Would love to come back!
