Fleu da Coop is part of a recent revival to convert retired school buses into stylish motorhomes. These unique homes on wheels are called skoolies (or schoolies) and provide a truly unique glamping experience.

Our skoolie is a 38 ft. converted 2003 Bluebird school bus and offers all of the amenities you would expect in a traditional vacation rental, but kicked up a few levels of coolness. The perfect fish camp for a guy's getaway to fish the Crappie Capital of the World, Weiss Lake. (Fish cleaning station and fish fry equipment on site too!)

Enjoy farm fresh eggs delivered to your door to cook an amazing breakfast. Enjoy local honey from right here on our farm. Visit with our donkeys, emus, goats and chickens for a fun farm experience.

We are on the lake, but not on deep water. (the lake is behind our house but not accessible by boat). The closest launch is less than 1 mile away on our road and we have plenty of easy and secure boat parking with power.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
Fleu da Coop has 1 Queen memory foam bed in the back with 1 twin memory foam bed in the cabin and 1 twin memory foam bed that doubles as a couch. (Sleeps a total of 4 max). There is a TV in the queen bedroom with two small nightstands with shelves, lights, plugs/usb ports.

COOKING ARRANGEMENTS:
The kitchen has a 2 burner RV size propane stove top. There is also a gas grill with side burner on the patio. Need to clean those fish you caught on Weiss Lake There is also a fish cleaning station available to guests on property. The kitchen holds a wine refrigerator and a hotel size refrigerator/freezer combo. Small appliances on board include a microwave, keurig coffee pot, tea kettle, mixer, and all the pots/pans, cooking utensils, dishes and glassware needed to do basic cooking.

BATH ARRANGEMENTS:
Space is a premium on a school bus, so the bathroom is where you take it from. Fleu da Coop's bathroom is built around the school bus wheel well. This creative use of space makes for a very tight entrance, but a full stand up shower. There is a lav sink on the wall to brush your teeth and wash your face. The toilet is a standard household model and sits up on the wheel well. (We only mention this because some skoolies have composting toilets. This one does not.) Reality: if you're big on luxury bathrooms, this skoolie is not that.

TV & INTERNET SITUATION
Our skoolie has one large TV in the main cabin and another small TV in the queen bedroom. Both Smart TV's have YouTube TV Premium and get all the live channels including local stations, comparable to Dish 200 package. The farm has Starlink Internet and gets the best service possible for our rural area.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE
In addition to sitting on a 23 acre farm, Fleu da Coop has it's own patio area just outside the bus. The space includes a picnic table, large outdoor space heater for those chillier evenings, a gas grill with side burner, firepit area with Adirondack chairs and a canopy covered seating area. You are free to explore our 23 acre farm anywhere outside the gates that enclose our personal living spaces and barn.

SECURITY
We are on property 24/7 for any concerns. You will also have a unique code for your entry to the bus via keypad. There is a safe inside the bus to secure your valuables.

When booking, please keep in mind that it is a converted school bus so it is 6'2 high for head room and 9 feet wide. There are also steps to climb when entering the school bus and the bathroom/shower. This is a glamping experience and there is a picnic table, grill, seating and firepit for outdoor relaxing.

The bus was cozy and secure and very well renovated. It was stocked with everything you would need but never felt crowded. It was pitch dark and quiet at night and The stars were beautiful. The hosts were very nice and checked in on you but let you be otherwise. The area was miles and miles of cotton farms, close to food and shopping and antique stores and state and national parks.

The Skoolie was great. Lots of character and perfect for my son and me. The owners of the farm were very communicative and welcoming. There are a couple great places to eat nearby as well that Scott told us about. Be mindful that the bathroom is very small, so as long as you don't mind navigating that this is the perfect place.

We had a lovely weekend staying here. The bus has been made-up into the cutest tiny home on wheels. The hosts were awesome, even taking the time to help us get our fishing poles assembled correctly. You can walk from the bus down to a dock and either fish or kayak on the lake. Wal-Mart was about 7 minutes away which was great for us, and we enjoyed eating at Tony's Steak Barn that's also about 6 or 7 minutes away. If you're looking for some fishing and relaxation this is good spot to be. Only wish we'd had more time to explore the surrounding areas and use the fire pit.

Amazing, responsive host. Very neat little farm. Amazing experience. Slept awesome. I question how effective the a/c would be in the dead of Southern AL summer.

We had an amazing time! Nephew loved staying in the bus, he thought it was really cool and different experience. He dubbed it a “bouse” (bus house ). Really awesome spot the owners have out there. Peaceful, safe, great place to chill for the weekend. Got to pet the donkeys and goats. Picked a couple pieces of cotton to take home and got a couple fresh eggs to boot! The buss itself was great. I’m pretty tall, so I definitely had to slouch to navigate but overall it was a great experience. Bathroom is definitely an interesting bit . Nothing we couldn’t manage but it is absolutely a tight fit - added to the experience. Everything else was great. Scott, the homeowner, was a pleasure to speak with and get to know. He made the stay extremely comfortable for us. First night was a bit chilly for the kiddo, so Scott gave him an extra blanket. Nice guy. I will definitely be back and likely bring my nephew with me again so we can explore the area more. If you’re on the fence about staying here, give it a go. I think you’ll definitely enjoy the experience if you’re into glamping.

Nice and quiet and way off the road, you’re on a farm with animals, yet it wasn’t noisy at all, they would greet me every morning at the fence to say hi, lol.The rooftop A/C drowns out any noises around the area, we slept great throughout the nights there. Owners were super responsive and helpful, we were there to look into moving into the area and take in nature, everything was great.

Cute little bus. We had a great time and my 6 year old loved visiting the animals. Was a little tricky with the little bathroom but just make it more of an adventure. Also enjoyed a waterpark and drive in theater near by.

A unique experience on the bus and beautifully decorated. A nice outdoor seating area overlooking the cotton fields with views of gorgeous sunsets. The hosts were most accommodating to let us love on their farm animals and answered all one million questions we had.

The communication and whole stay was wonderful. The bathroom is quite tight and was a bit shocking but what else can you expect when staying in a bus. The property owners were so sweet. Only down sides was the water was always super hot from the faucet and the top bunk didn’t actually have room for a body. But that didn’t stop us from having a good time!

Reminded us of our younger years. The only downside as others have said is the agility required to use the bathroom and to take a shower. (We're a lot older now.) The property was close to our event and to restaurants. Everything was clean and had all the amenities. It rained while we were there, and we enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof.

I first took my granddaughter (11 at the time) who was staying with me for a few weeks in the summer two years ago. She wanted to bring her younger brother who is now 10 to go camping again this year. We all had a great time. Jerry could have stayed with the animals all day!! Scott was very patient with showing and educating us about the animals. You could tell he loves doing it! Allie and I enjoyed just hanging out in the bus watching movies and taking a nap from a busy week! I did take Jerry fishing Saturday morning just down the street by Jake's on the Lake. Definitely a jackpot for him to fish from the pier! Had a fresh green egg for breakfast....yes a green one!!! Looking forward to another visit in the future!
