Property is nicely situated in peivate wooded location in neighborhood. Loved the porch. Great for enjoying tea in morning, reading in afternoon and grilling dinner. Owners were wonderful. Great communication and supplied everything needed plus extra touches that made the stay special.

A perfect getaway for a couple seeking quietness and renewal. Beautiful surroundings, private, lots of homey touches. Super clean. We look forward to staying here again.

There is a compacted gravel road leading to the owner's property which is acres. Their house is near the entrance and the 2/1 cottage is far enough awaoy so as not to disturb each other. Woodstove and fire pit were set up, although we didn't use either. Baked goods welcoming us were appreciated. Small house but very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. Hot water for both of us. Large deck with grill and plenty of seating. Good location, about 1/2 hr to major attractions in every direction. Hosts very friendly and helpful. They welcomed our 2 little dogs without us worrying about their reaction. Went in mid Oct, leaves began turning, cool temps, perfect weather. One step onto deck, one step into house, step in shower. No tv, radio or washer and dryer, but that was not an issue for us. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Get the cider donuts from Grandad's if coming in the fall.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. David and Arlene are WONDERFUL hosts!! The cabin was beautiful. The colors, the decor, the FLOORS!! Our hosts were helpful with food and sightseeing suggestions. It was our anniversary and they made it special. The location is great if you want to explore Asheville or Chimney Rock. We HIGHLY recommend this property and the hosts for anyone visiting Hendersonville!!

I had friends visiting the Asheville area so decided to visit them. Wanted to stay in the beautiful mountain area rather than the city. This was a great find! Fairly remote but still close to everything we wanted. Great amenities. Great, helpful hosts! I'll be back!

Property was exactly as pictured but what you don't see are the extra special details included. David & Arlene are exceptional hosts and thought of extras that most hosts do not...fresh baked muffins, bottles of water, snacks and even coffee, creamer, condiments, etc! We had a wonderful time in their cottage and will definitely be returning when we are in the area again. One of the complaints I read in another review was the distance/time to get somewhere. Yes, but you are staying in the mountains, it takes at least 25-30 minutes to get anywhere there because it's all curvy back roads. That why we love the area, others who are not used to that, you may want to stay in the city...lol! Also, since it was our first time visiting Hendersonville, David was very informative about things to do and places to eat. If you truly want to unplug and relax (there's no TV or dishwasher), this is a perfect place to do it and i definitely recommend you stay here! Make sure you read the notebook when you check in with instructions.

Our visit was made much more enjoyable by the hospitality offered by David. He and his wife thought about every small detail to set this rental apart from others. The cabin was beautifully decorated and had all kinds of creature comforts, like coffee, tea, and snacks. Outside the property is very bucolic and our dog loved running around the open field. It was very apparent that our hosts were available to us for any questions and they wanted our stay to be a fantastic experience. It will be our first choice the next time we are staying in the area.

The cottage is adorable and sits back in the trees. It has a great outdoor space. Sadly the weather didn't cooperate where we could use it more. There were delicious muffins awaiting when we arrived. Great stay.
