Secluded beach house on Hooper's Bay, Great Exuma, The Bahamas

First time in Exuma, and this place was perfect for what GF and I needed. Location was great as a grocery store was right there, and pretty central on the island to get to all the beaches. Right on the water with a small sand beach area to yourself. Two kayaks were a nice surprise that we used on several locations. The owner did have a small rental car that met are needs, but be prepared for rough roads to the house and in other areas of the island. If we come back, we will bring our own pillows and bedding, but otherwise, for the price, not much else I could ask for. We werent there to watch tv and play on the internet (though it does have both) but to get out a explore and left happy. Owner was good with contact and helping out

This quaint little house Is located on such beautiful property back in a private cove. The house is small but has everything you need. The view from the back porch is amazing! During high tide the water surrounds the porch. You will have fish and turtles swimming right next to you. Peter was the most helpful and accommodating host we have ever had. He even has a car available to rent wih the house. I highly recommend renting Peter's house.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Peter’s place. Very secluded and private. We had the beach to ourselves most of our stay. A few things to note and could be upgraded easily is a new bed (king size would go a long way) and the water pressure to shower and kitchen sink need to be stronger. Queen bed was not comfortable and the bathtub backs up when showering. Other than that, the cottage was great and had everything we needed. We used kayaks and paddle board, water floaters were a plus as well. We did some snorkeling in hoopers bay right out front and saw some cool fish. Had a couple turtles visit us and were able to feed and pet. Very cool place. Peter is very responsive and I do appreciate that. This cottage will always be special to us as we got engaged right in front of the place on the sand. ?thank you Peter!

The location of this small cottage and Peter's hospitality are outstanding. The AC is cold, the appliances work well and the bed is comfortable. There are chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, kayaks, a paddle board, snorkeling equipment, lots of floats and plenty of beach towels for guests to use. The space is small and there is not a door on the inside restroom. As other guests have pointed out, the driveway is a bit rough. Overall, we had a great time at Sunset Cottage and would definitely stay here again.

This was a little diamond in the rough. Spectacular waterfront views, well provisioned and Peter was an excellent host. Driveway could use a little work.

We had a fantastic time at Peters cottage on the beach. Absolutely loved the location and the super cute cottage. We also toured the island from top to bottom by car, taking in the breath taking scenery. We’ll be back!

Amazing property. There are no words to describe the water view. The blue colors the waves crashing and you could hear it inside the house. The host is amazing what a nice family. They were warm and welcoming. Nice private property. Can't wait to go back.

We had the absolute best trip! This place is ideal in Hooper’s Bay! We were close to Georgetown also. It was the neatest little cottage. Just perfect for my husband and I. Peter was amazing also. The bed was very comfy! The land where the cottage sits has beautiful coconut trees and groves! Just beautiful! It’s not fancy but it is quiet and just perfect for a couples getaway!

The location of the property is close enough to everything to be convenient, but far enough off the road to feel totally private. At the end of Hoopers Bay, you get the feeling of being in the real Bahamas and not in tourist central. The property had everything the two of us needed to cook our own meals. We appreciated the outdoor clean off station (shower and hose) and the place to hang up all of our wet swim/dive gear each night. My husband had an epic battle with the tarpon swimming by the front porch at least once a day. Peter was a friendly and helpful host. All in all, we loved our stay.

Or 10 day stay was amazingly beautiful!! You can’t get any closer to the water and beach!! With everything you need! Kayaks to explore!! The cottage was well stocked and clean with everything you need. Peter was a great host always a phone call away. Always willing to help with anything you need!
