Seabrook - On Turtle Time

One of the best things about Seabrook is that time seems to slow down. No traffic jams, no waiting in line, no hectic schedules. Just lots of time for riding bikes, a walk on the beach, hanging out with friends & family, or maybe even taking a nap. That’s what we mean when we say “I’m on turtle time”.

The house is well-appointed withamenities that will satisfy almost any preference and type of stay - whether it’s a sun-filled vacation with many trips to the beach & trails or an overcast or off-season getaway to relax and unwind in comfort. It features 2 full bathrooms, 2 Queen bedrooms, a sleeper sofa, and a great open floor plan that allows everyone to stay engaged. A pair of adirondack chairs on the front porch allow you to enjoy company, keep an eye on the kids playing out front, or just relax and enjoy a book or beverage of your choice.

The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything you need - whether you are making great meals for your family or entertaining and hosting guests. Premium stainless (and machine-washable) cookware, gas grill on the back porch just outside the kitchen, and everything else a cook needs is here waiting - just bring the food & drinks! There’s sturdy ceramic dinnerware and wine glasses for 12, plates & utensils for kids - even smores sticks for roasting marshmallows.

Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean you have to do without all the electronics & entertainment you’re used to at home. High-speed wireless internet is available throughout the house. The living room features a 43” HD TV, Apple TV, and Xbox One (plays Blu-ray or DVD discs) to watch your favorite movies - there’s even a Netflix account set up for guests to use as they please (free of charge!). The master bedroom features a 40” HD SmartTV and Apple TV and the second bedroom has a 27 HD SmartTV. Best of all - you won’t have to miss any of your favorite shows on vacation - both TVs have access to the entire cable channel lineup - including Showtime, HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, HD, Sports (ESPN, Root, Fox, etc), Spanish, & Music Packages. The second bedroom also has a 27” HD SmartTV. You could also have fun with the XBox One and an assortment of family-friendly games. There are even alarm clocks in each bedroom that will charge or play your iPhone. If you want to unplug on vacation there are many puzzles, board & card games available (Uno, Jenga, Candyland, etc).

The cottage is in the North Alder neighborhood, which features a great shared outdoor fire pit & gathering area perfect for roasting marshmallows or sharing stories or laughs with friends or family. There’s a lawn out front for kids to play safely and within view. It’s centrally located - a quick walk will take you to Crescent Park, Alderwood kids playground, or the Elk Creek Beach Promenade forest walk down to the beach.
