Seabreeze Cottage, by the ocean in Brighton, Otago

Clean, well equipped, comfortable beds. The only thing to know is that beach access is quite steep so difficult for less mobile people. The breakfast is a nice touch.

The whole cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, easy to access and we were provided with a first day breakfast. Everything which was advertised with the property was available including outdoor furniture etc. We had a minor problem with the shower. I sent a text to the owner Janet who replied within 30 seconds to tell me that her husband was on his way to sort the problem. As I was reading the message Stephen arrived at the cottage. Stephen is a big guy, very polite and courteous and had the problem resolved within 20 minutes. Excellent overall We will definitely revisit.10 out of 10.

It was well equipped, comfortable and had a great view. It was directly across the road from the beach, so I enjoyed morning and evening beach walks.

This place was quaint, calm, and perfectly suited to what we were looking for. It got cooler one evening and we simply cozied up around the gas fireplace. The home had everything listed, including the barbecue, that we used, and ate outdoors on the patio. The host, Janet, communicated extremely well, and answered any inquiries we had. An excellent experience all around. Proximity to Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula made it perfect.

Host was welcoming. Beautiful views. Grandchildren loved coming over to visit Grandpa’s holiday home. Very comfortable stay.

My group of four adults loved this vacation home. What stood out was the back deck for dining and BBQ grillling outside. All the furniture and the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was generously equipped.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this charming home—it was everything it promised to be and more. The house was warm, cozy, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable visit.While we were initially surprised that the bathroom was located just off the main cottage, through a breezeway, it was well-heated and thoughtfully set up, so it didn’t pose any inconvenience at all. I'm sure it was already noted and just a reader error on our part. Janet was a truly exceptional host—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive. She went out of her way to make sure we arrived to a warm, well-lit home and even left a few treats for us to enjoy in the morning. Those small touches made such a big difference.The location itself is simply stunning—beautiful and uniquely peaceful, with the beach just out front and sheep grazing in the back. A perfect blend of nature and comfort.All in all, a wonderful stay. We’d love to come back!

Well located, very clean and comfortable holiday home. A great situation with the ocean view out the front of the property and a fabulous rural view from the decking. Even though the weather was unsettled we had a great time exploring the area.Thank you Janet and Steven.

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay here. It is so relaxing to be right by the sea, and everything in the cottage was very thoughtfully laid out and cosy. Would love to stay again!

Stayed here over a wild weather labour day weekend. House is comfortable and cosy, the heaters work and other than the weather it was peaceful. Good base to explore the region.

The bach is absolutely fantastic...cozy, warm and in an amazing location. Beautiful view of the hills out the back, and of the beach out the front. The beach area is awesome for walks and exploring. Fantastic hosts too, everything was super easy and very pleasant. Thanks!
