Sandy Mutts at the Beach

Great place to stay. The beach access and the B&B were perfect

We enjoyed our stay, proximity to the beach, the window air conditioning kept the house nice and cool. I would have enjoyed having a few more bath towels but we made do.

We loved staying at Sandy Mutts ! Communication was great , location and access to the beach was convenient and perfect as well. We only stayed for a couple of nights but it was just what we needed. We brought our chihuahua and kitty along and they were comfortable and happy. We did bring our own towels and it worked for us. I will definitely be coming back.

They changed the house I originally booked and instead it was an apartment. They did this while on the way down ro VA due to construction. I found out this construction wasn’t being done same day either!The new area was so dangerous it was a crackhead apartment. A guy with a ski mask came to the apartment. I have a 4 year old and it was the worst experience ever I’m sticking with Airbnb.

It was a wonderful stay and our host was wonderful to work with. We will be back soon!

This isn't a knock because we enjoyed our stay. But you need to have lower standards. It's a funky house that is equipped with the bare minimum of thrift store furnishing. The term Ocean View here refers to the name of the location not the idea that you will be looking at water. The beach and water is several flights up adjacent public stairs to get you over the protective dunes for this house. So with my partners disability that I informed the host of (she can't climb stairs) we never actually got to the beach. But we had the sound and scent of the water and it didn't share a wall with a noisy neighbor so it was better than similarly priced cheap motels in the area. And this place was clean and that can be hard to find at the beach. So thank you for a wonderful low cost and low pressure time.

Sandy Mutts was a very nice place to stay, was clean and welcoming, and in a very good location. Our host was very communicative and welcoming! Will gladly come back!

Property was excellent. George (host) was great. We had everything we needed. Close to beach. Will be going back. Only problem was the internet. It kept going out while we were watching tv

As soon as I arrived, I began to get itchy, red welts. These were not mosquito bites. After some research, I suspected these were bedbugs and called a local pest control company to verify. They verified that I had found at least 1 bedbug and there was evidence of an infestation on the bed mattress and cover. I notified the hosts and moved out. I have requested a refund for the 5 nights I was unable to stay there but have received no reply from either the host or VRBO. I understand this is a risk when you have guests but I should have received an immediate refund at the very least. I expect the host to take responsibility for his property. VRBO emails for help get no response so just be aware, as a guest, you are on your own if there are problems. And I would avoid this host unless he can offer proof that the bedbugs are no longer there.
