Had a great stay at the cottage. Lots of great fishing and clean warm water. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard provided. We even made friends with a friendly turtle right by the dock! Thanks again Paulina & Mike for being great hosts.

Such an interesting setting! Felt like you were in the woods with a beautiful tree scape. The path down to the waterfront was a reminder of a hike in the forest and then opened up to present a very pretty lake scene. The sandy entry into the water was appealing as was the crystal clear lake! There was easy access to water toys, that enhanced the experience. The cottage was cozy and had all the necessary amenities. We appreciated the AC on the hot days! Surprisingly the mosquitoes were not existent in the mornings, allowing us to enjoy the outside deck for coffee. We enjoyed the quiet and the chance to view nature at it's best! We had a female deer make an appearance in the early evening the second night of our stay. She literally was 20 feet away from the upper deck and lingered long enough for a few photos! A very interesting cottage experience overall! The only tiny concern was the rather steep drive down to the cottage location. We were very glad we had an all wheel drive car to make it down and up the driveway. Just something for a guest to acknowledge. The steep driveway was definitely mentioned in the listing so were were aware this was something to be expected. Thanks to the cottage owners for allowing us to enjoy this unique summer experience!

We loved our stay at Paulina and Mike's cottage. Our kids loved the beach and swimming at the lake the weather was amazing! The cottage is super cute and clean had everything you needed. Super kid friendly! The outdoor playground was a nice surprise! Only thing I wish we had a view of the lake from the cottage.

The cottage is well taken care of. When we arrive it felt like home. I wish we could have stayed longer. We created genuine memories with lots of fishing and camp fires and enjoying time spent with our kids. The fire flies were mind blowing the night we had a camp fire The drive way was a bit steep but we were able to go up and down in our Honda civic. Communication between us and the host was very smooth and helpful. We are a family of four and would love to return

We really enjoyed our stay and Paulina was great at communication. When they found out about the toddler, there was an instant offer of a playpen which was great. The only drawback to the cottage was that it was not great for accessibility. We had to park at the top of the property because we didn't have r wheel drive. We knew that from the listing but it's a very steep, gravel hill and up from there. This was a big problem for one person who has mobility issues. So if you aren't able to manage steep hills, this is not a good choice for you.

We had a great week at this lovely cottage. Loved the location and the lake. Haliburton is a cute town and only a 15 minute drive. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Towels, linen, fully equiped kitchen, grill, fire pit, beach access, canoe, toys for the kids, tv and WiFi. The beds are very comfortable and there is both heating and airconditioning. Upon arrival we had some difficulty figuring out the door lock as it shows 2 random digits at first and we didn’t realize you just have to touch those and then enter your code. We had a two wheel drive that we initially parked at the top of the driveway as instructed. Then we read the owners manual, that said you could park half way down. We tried that because it’s quite the hike up there, especially with luggage. Not a good idea, we barely got back up. This was a bit confusing at arrival, but it all worked out ok. There were a lot of mosquitoes, especially at night, so bring lots of bug spray, covering clothes and citronella candles! Unfortunately we were not able to sit outside comfortably after sunset. The host was very helpful, friendly and a great communicator. Overal we loved this cottage and would definitely here again!
