We had a great stay! We loved the location for its accessibility to Cedar Point, Put-in-bay, and other lake beaches. I appreciated bumping into Brad and getting his recommendations.
The house was adorable and full of al the things you could need from linens and towels, kitchen tools to beach items. A 2 min walk to the beach and playground was perfect. The 10-15min to cedar point was excellent. And the town of Huron had there River fest on that weekend for a bonus. We would recommend this getaway for families.
We had a wonderful stay. The house accommodate my family of six very well. If you are going to Cedar Point we highly recommend it.
This cute little house was perfect for our short stay. It was within 10-15 minutes of everything! The owners are so sweet and checked in on us and were very communicative through the process. It was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood. They let us use their beach chairs and toys as well which was super helpful too. Definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful time visiting Cedar point, Nickle plate Beach and the local area. The home was cozy, comfortable, plenty of room and plenty of amenities. We’d love to stay here again, great location!
We were in Ohio for our son’s baseball tournament and staying at this beautiful property was so much better than any hotel. The hosts thought of everything.
We had a wonderful time. Location: We were in town for a baseball tournament at Sports Force and a week trip to Cedar Point. In previous years we have stayed in Vermillion but wanted to try something different and a bit closer. This fit the bill perfectly; not too far away but close enough to get where we needed. The cottage is close enough to walk to Rye Beach and you can see the lake from the front door. It was very very quiet while we were there; we had a lot going on activity-wise, but I would have been happy just hanging out at the cottage. Check-In and Host: Completely painless and hassle-free. Brad was very communicative about the timing, what to expect, etc. AC was fully on when we got there (it was very HOT outside) so refreshing to sit down and relax after the drive. A nice bottle of wine was waiting for us at the cottage, good touch. We had an issue on our last day with the pilot light on the tankless heater going out; we contacted Brad and quickly resolved. Amenities: There was enough space for my family of 5 to spread out comfortably. Nice bunk beds in one room, and two separate doubles in other rooms. One bathroom is a bit of a pain with 5 people, but the tankless water heater ensured a shower for everyone at the end of the day. Brightly colored lake-theme colors everywhere and it looked and felt very new. We didn’t avail ourselves of the loft upstairs just due to having 5 people. If there were more than 5 it might be an issue leaving the ladder down as it blocks the bedrooms. I’m certain you could figure out something, we just didn’t need it. A spacious kitchen with Keurig and complimentary coffee, large counter area, etc. I could have used another skillets for breakfast one morning but we made it work and it had everything we needed. Washer and dryer are good commercial grade with free quarters, it will make sense if you look at the pics closely. There is an outside deck with chairs and umbrella, along with a propane fire pit. It was nice to sit outside in the evening after a long day. Overall: Just a terrific property with a great host in a superb location. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will certainly be contacting Brad again should our travels bring us to Lake Erie. Thanks for having us!
