We love Woodcote! We have enjoyed several stays there. Our one ongoing struggle with the rental is that the fire wood is wet and there is no kindling or paper provided. A key feature to Woodcote in the winter is sitting by a fire in the beautiful fireplace but it is very difficult to get a fire going and keep it going.
We had lots of fun at this historic place. This place is very impressive.
House and location worked out great for our family party. Plenty of room for everyone.
It was wonderful to have our family stay together in one home! There's a number of bedrooms and enough bathrooms too. The great room is a perfect place for larger gatherings. Lovely setting too!
Bring our team here twice a year. Great place and location.
The space was absolutely what was promised. The bed was super comfy and clean. We will definitely book again at this place.
We had a family gathering at Woodcote. The atmosphere and furnishings were very relaxing and comfortable. The amenities were accurate as stated in the listing and everything needed was there. Those that we worked with were congenial and informative. We have stayed at Woodcote twice and plan to schedule again in the future.
Our family absolutely loved the cabin and the surrounding areas. We will be booking again for next year and adding an additional day.
We stayed two nights in the Woodcote and had a mini family gathering. The cottage was perfect. The grounds were beautiful. I would absolutely stay again.
Comfortable, clean, quiet.
Lowell park is beautiful- the river, recreation, flowers, wildlife. Lodge still feels secluded. Large indoor spaces and nice outdoor areas. Fire pit. Big kitchen. Plenty of parking. Parks dept was very supportive and helpful. Will go again! Close to town.
We greatly enjoyed our stay- especially having disc golf right out the door! The house was clean with lots of space. The upstairs bedrooms are divided by a small landing which makes it great for two families, as we each had a little section. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and grill. Tons of room for the kids to play on the property. We’ll be back this fall!
We really enjoyed our short stay at Woodcote! There were 9 of us staying overnight and 12 there for the family gatherings. The lodge can accommodate that with no problem with ample indoor and outdoor seating. All of this in a gorgeous setting at Lowell Park!
This was our second stay at woodcote, We really enjoyed it it is just the right size 4ourfamily. The kitchen is well stocked. Loved the 2 different fireplaces it was cool out so we used them quite a bit. Love the fact that there is a big open space for the kids to run and a play ground very close by. The facility is very and creaky but it has a special charm And is very comfortable. The large room at the north end Works well for meals and setting up for indoor games. The living room is very comfortable and a good place to chill in front of the fireplace. During the day you might see a few people hiking around but at night you are very secluded and have the whole park to yourself. This is a great place just to get away and have some quality time your family
We really enjoyed our stay. Checkin was easy and smooth. The house is very big and is well equiped. It is super peacefull and right next to a river. I loved that we could make a fire with the provided fire wood.
Great place! We played games and fished.
Will be back
The cottage is clean with well-stocked kitchen that includes standard seating at tables inside and outdoor porch areas. We visited the fire pit to take place of the fireplaces on cool spring night. Firewood cut ready to use! Very clean bathrooms.
Everything was good with the exception of bugs in the house. House needs to be renovated to prevent bugs and critters from entering. Also, having to bring our own bedding was so inconvenient as we flew in from AZ. Would we rent it again? Maybe because it was close to the activities (funeral arrangements for our loved one). And we wanted to be together. But would try to find somewhere else first.
Beautiful and spacious. Has everything you need (except, of course, towels and bedding which is clearly in the description).
