Retreat or Reunion Home with Grand Porch and Views of Mountain and Lake

This was our 2nd time having our large (19) family member gathering at this unique, wonderful house! The house easily accommodates a large group. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, pans, utensils, 2 refrigerators, making it easy to feed a large group. They have access for canoes and kayaks on a beautiful lake, a ping-pong table, and had badminton net set up...allowing activities for everyone. Ruth and Hanna were very helpful and easily available for any questions. The view/location of the house is outstanding. If you're looking for a truly New England experience and have a large group this is the place to stay!! Thanks Ruth/Hanna.

We enjoyed a wonderful family gathering (10 adults and 8 children) at Monadnock Manse. Perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company. Room for 10 young children to run, play and everyone enjoyed swimming down at the lake. Definitely hope to make a return trip

We loved our fifth visit to the house - the home, property, and adjacency to the lake are perfect for playing, dining, connecting, and relaxing. We’ll be back!

Great place to stay in NH for large families who want to stay together. Great Host, great communication, and lovely house near lake.

Nice place with big rooms and enough place to sleep. Friendly and welcoming owners. They have kayak and canoe at their lake. We were little late during check out but they were accommodating and helpful. Will be back again!

Rustic, with lots of charm and character, very comfortably appointed with plenty for kids and families to do including ping pong, canoeing and kayaking. Beautiful swimming in the pristine lake. Well-equipped kitchen. Has some quirks of an old rambling house — Some bedroom doors don’t close welland there’s only one shower (other Bathrooms have bathtubs). But very homey & fun, and Perfect for our large and diversely aged group!

This was our third summer - once again we enjoyed ourselves- swimming, porch sitting, hiking, cooking, eating, biking, croquet on the lawn. We visited the yarn shop in Harrisville and went a second time to the Caterpillar Lab. All in all it’s a great place to be.

Fabulous property in wonderful setting above beautiful Silver Lake in lovely Harrisville. 18 of us, 4 children and spouses and 8 grandchildren celebrating my wife’s 70th. Perfect!

Great place for a family reunion, as this was our second time visiting it felt like home. Love the area, the lake and the wrap around front porch. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our surroundings.

My family had a reunion here over a decade ago and had such wonderful memories that when the opportunity to get together with family came up we knew this is where we wanted to stay. Such a cool old house in a relaxing setting. It is stocked with absolutely everything you need to have a wonderful time with a large group. And it was great to have access to everything in the boathouse to fully enjoy the beautiful lake. We had a great time and can’t wait to come again.

This was our fourth time visiting and we absolutely love it. Perfect getaway with views of monadnock, a few lovely steps to Silver lake, and the cozy New England cottage vibe offer a true feeling of being at home away from home. Hope we see you next year!

Our group of 5 families with teenagers (17 people) stayed at the Monadnock Manse for a long weekend. The property was absolutely perfect for us! We enjoyed games on the lawn, cooling off in the lake, group meals in the dining room, and hours upon hours of hanging out on the huge porch. Ruth was a great host and the home was well stocked with plenty of space for everyone! We hope to make it an annual tradition!

Family came from all over US to attend local wedding. Spent 3 days at house--absolutely great experience. Comfortable, room for everyone, great lake. Very easy communication with owner. Everyone (17 of us) wants to return for more vacation time.

Annual buddies golf trip. We and up having more fun at the house. Ruth is a great host and the house is always perfect. Well be there again next year
