Renovated lakefront cottage w/ hot tub, dock, kayaks, swim platform, & firepit

I loved the house but Vacasa did a terrible job managing the property for the owners. A fuse went out on day 1 restricting our use of certain lights and appliances and it took them 3 days to help us locate the circuit breaker (they kept telling us wrong location by a chat bot over and over). Then the hot tub stopped heating and again no meaningful response. I’m sorry to have to write this review because we really do love the house and location (this is our 2nd consecutive year staying here) but the owners really should drop vacasa. Vacasa also said they would provide us a partial refund for our inconveniences but have then stopped responding.

Wrong address a week before arrival, address correct two days prior to arrival.Lacked some towels, hard to keep clean from outside elements, better rugs at entrance doors would be helpful. No propane for grill.Beautiful place, great location

Excellent location! Nicely renovated with great views of the lake. It could be a little hard to find in the dark on your first time there. There was a small issue with there, not being some towels in one of the bathrooms, but they did bring some by. Very nice place highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the gorgeous lakefront home with all the amenities- hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, grill! The inside was really nicely appointed and we appreciated the air conditioning on some hot July days. We would absolutely love to come back here it was a blast in the summer, close to Ludlow but tucked away and felt very private and cozy.

The house, its location, and dock are real nice. Would come here again.

Beautiful and perfect!

Easy lakefront access. Houses are very close together. Lots of room, master bath has a nice cabinet with shelves for clothing, closet space is generous. Washer/dryer is on the first floor, very convenient. Spotless house- furnishings are well maintained.

Water view and outdoor amenities were wonderful. Internal renovations and decor were classy, clean, and well thought out. We loved that there were three bathrooms. The kitchen was huge with an extremely large dining room table that would fit a very big group of people. The view from the living room of the water was gorgeous and we used the deck off the living room every night to enjoy the sunset. Two thumbs up for this rental!

The property was as described, very clean, updated with a nice view. WeHad fun exploring the area.We enjoyed the fireplace while relaxing after hiking and exploring.

We loved the location and home! So close to Okemo, beautiful home right on the lake. The hottub and gas fireplace were appreciated after a day of skiing. We would definitely come back again!

We loved the house and especially the location. The views are beautiful and the proximity to town, the mountain and parks make it a fantastic spot to stay.

This lake house is absolutely everything you would expect from a five star rated home. It is a newly renovated lake front home. The house is located about 3 miles north of Ludlow. The property was clean and well maintained. We visited on Columbus Day weekend for our daughter’s wedding. We will return some day in the summer to enjoy the lake. I would recommend this property to my family and friends. Thank you for sharing your home with us during this special time for our family.

*** to be clear I had a great time, and loved the house! This is just my gripe. If not for the second part, I would 200% be back!! Upon arrival the cleaner was still there at 4:15pm. There was still trash left inside the basement bedroom. One of the beds upstairs was clearly laid on. The biggest issue we had was the garbage shed outside. We woke up our first morning in the house to someone else’s trash all over the neighborhood and the door to the shed blown open. There was bear claw marks on the door and bear poop right in front of it. I contacted Vacasa and let them know what happened and let them know I never even went in the shed and they proceeded to tell me guests do not have access to it when I asked for a lock for the shed. Obviously someone had access because they filled the garbage and left it unlocked. Vacasa then told me they let someone know and they would be in touch. Hours and hours later when I was at the wedding I was in the area for, my mother was in the home watching my 1.5 month old baby when it was getting dark and no one had shown up to help from Vacasa or contacted me. My mother being afraid the bear was coming back had to go out there and clean up all the garbage that was not even ours. I loved the house and I enjoyed everything else about it and really had a great time. It’s just things like that that really burn my ass when you pay thousands of dollars to stay a couple days and just basically ignored.

This house has gorgeous views and a clean and tasteful interior. We found it even more beautiful than the pictures. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the beds are all very comfortable. You have to get in your car to go for a hike because it is off a main road, but that is the only downside. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My family had a wonderful stay at the lake house. Everyone had plenty of room and private space to work, play and relax. The lake views throughout the day from every room is the star feature! Besides water activities we managed to get a few hikes in, enjoyed the sugar shack and visited Taylor Farm with my granddaughter. Five star, A+ rating.
