Here is a list of some of the local attractions you may be interested in. They are primarily in order of distance. Please feel free to contact with any questions. I can share my experience

*WESTBROOK—cute quaint, smallest of the area villages yet booming with the best restaurants out of any of them. These include Cafe Routier (the shoreline hot spot), Christy’s, Haywire, Lenny & Joes, Bill’s Seafood, etc. You can eat your way through Westbrook while enjoying its beautiful shoreline!
.Best Muster...visitors from all over come here for a huge weekend event. Amazing.

*ESSEX VILLAGE—My favorite quaint New England town!!! Nestled in on the shores of the Connecticut River. Main Street offers a beautiful walk with the end of the street bringing you to the river. Central Main Street has a lovely park on the river as well often offering events throughout the season. The town bustles all year round with fine dining and shopping. People here have a love for dogs as I see them walking everywhere😊
Approx 13 min to Main Street
Here you will find many unique shops and restaurants. Including the Griswold Inn which is considered a historic landmark by many. The maritime-themed Griswold Inn, “the Gris” for short, is one of the country’s oldest continuously operated inns, opening its doors in the consequential year of 1776. It also has a long standing restaurant and wine bar.

The house is beautiful and cozy, and the furniture invites you to sit and chat or read in a comfy spot. The amenities were okay, and the few things we needed were easy to purchase close by. There are a few small beaches that are nice for a day or two, and several larger state parks and very good restaurants are close by. The resident-neighbors are pleasant and helpful! We had a great trip!

We were travelling to a wedding in Essex CT for the weekend and needed a place close by that could accommodate five of us with two bathrooms, and found this lovely cottage in Westbrook, MA. Our stay here made our family wedding weekend even more enjoyable with the very quick walk to the beach and relaxed comfortable vibe. The cottage was very clean, with a great coastal ambience and set up nicely for all we might need. All of the comforts of home were there and we found ourselves in need of nothing, and made use of the vast game collection present. The furniture was very comfortable and all was in excellent condition. It was an unusually hot weekend and the cottage stayed reasonably cool with the AC's already installed and extra fans provided just in case. We were able to walk to the beach in the morning (literally three minutes with mug in hand) to enjoy the views and then found time to sit out on the beach chairs provided for a bit before the wedding. There was a lovely hammock in the back yard and plenty of privacy and parking for our three cars. Any questions I had were answered immediately and the host was in touch regularly to ensure all went well. Check in and out was a breeze. I highly recommend a stay here in this beautiful area and cottage.

Great place and a great stay! We went for Christmas in Connecticut and had a wonderful time. The communication was great from the start and they are nice people. The place was wonderful with a great atmosphere and ambience. I can definitely see how this would be a great place in the summer, but also it was great in the winter. Very well decorated and furnished. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The host was very welcoming and communicative. We had a hot water issue over the Thanksgiving holiday and they did all they could to help the situation despite the fact they were unable to get it repaired during our stay. The house is cute—a typical beach cottage full of perfectly mis-matched whimsical decor. Perfectly located near the beach for summer visits.

We enjoyed or stay very much! It was quiet and the easy walk to the water was great. Not much in the way of a beach but still the view is lovely. The Master Bed needs updating. Husband and I sank into the middle squishing together. The living room slipcovers could use a wash and some bleach. The backyard is a great value added but the railing on the porch needs repair.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beds, linens, towels all super comfortable. Kitchen bright and useful. Bathrooms spotless. 2 minute walk to cute beach. Tons of stuff to do in the area. Great, private backyard well appointed with portable fire pit, grill, furniture. Lots of kid games and books and puzzles in house. Need functional carbon monoxide detector.

This home had all the basics and was thoughtfully furnished. Our daughters enjoyed building with the provided legos and doing puzzles during our downtime. You can easily walk to the beach or to many places in town. The location is a bit tricky to find though and there is only room to park two normal Sized vehicles. This wasn’t a problem for us, but just beware if you have multiple people coming.
