Quintessential seaside cottage in beautiful Pott's Point

We had a great extended weekend in Maine. Very calm and beautiful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were lucky to find this rental 5 minutes from our family in Harpswell. It was our first trip to Maine and we couldn’t believe how beautiful this community is. Gull’s Rest was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. Bottled water was even provided in a jug dispenser when we stayed. It cooled off quickly at night with fans and sea breezes and warmed up during a rainstorm with the electric fireplace in the living room. Low ceilings in the bedrooms made sleeping a little tight for tall adults, but there were plenty of beds to choose from. I only wish I had heard back from the hosts at checkout so I could leave a digital tip for the housekeeper.

Slightly rustic, but with all the amenities you will need. Very comfortable. Neighbors are close and parking space is limited/small. Otherwise, good spot for a home base from which to explore.

Reviewer Comments: The Town of Harpswell is a beautiful, off the beaten path, quaint and typically Maine small town! This home is kind of hidden away on the edge of Casco Bay. It was just beautiful! The home was cozy and comfortable and a great home base for exploring. The management company was friendly and helpful with the few questions I had for them. We would definitely stay here again!

Only issue.....and to be expected....one bathroom (downstairs, bedrooms are upstairs) and paper thin walls between bedrooms.....but it is as advertised....sunrises, walks, good restaurants relatively nearby.....

The bedrooms are small and one wall in each slopes, but the beds are quite comfortable. The photos on the website are accurate.

When i opened the sterile bag i noticed that one of the sheets had a brown stain.i texted the management company and they told me to use the smaller size sheets in the other room which was impossible. The bathroom door does NOT close that was very uncomfortable and there was a very thin lace curtain. i could see the people next door and i assume that they could see me in the bathroom as well.On the first day I dropped some water on the kitchen floor and used a paper towel to wipe it up only to find it to be black with dirt. that kitchen floor was not cleaned before we arrived.
