The cottage was very spacious, a bit further from the beach than I originally anticipated but we made it work. We loved the front porch and the rocking chairs. It was nice to sit there enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Great location..close to everything..we both walked to the beach and drove some days..same with downtown..the house was comfortable for my family of 4 ..2 daughters and their occasional friends spending a night..we plan on staying again next year.
Great property for a couple or a family. Walk to everything location. Owners very nice and easy to work with. Hope to stay here again next summer too!
We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Dawn & Mark’s cottage. The space was much larger than it looked from outside, plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids to sleep, eat & hang out. The patio was perfect and so enjoyable. We had a great time and look forward to coming back soon!
As soon as you enter, you get the feeling of quaint, charming comfort. Decorated with seascape charm and very clean, you will enjoy the setting along with the front porch rocking chairs and the great open air hot and cold shower in the backyard. A short walk to Footbridge Beach and the center of town is what makes this ideal as this cottage is on a private way and is nice and quiet and perfect for children! Games can be played on the field across the front lawn and a swing set for the kiddos is available. Shuffleboard is also available for your use. Our family had the best time and look forward to next year!!
We enjoyed our stay at Dawn's place in Ogunquit.. The house was immaculate when we arrived. The family room was very comfortable and nice to hang out in. The bathroom (including the outside shower) looked like they were recently renovated. Really liked the outside shower after the beach. The A/C's kept the house comfortable - especially for sleeping at night. It's a bit of a walk to downtown but we did do it a few times. Trolley stop at the end of the road was a nice alternative to walking. The neighborhood was quiet and the folks we encountered seemed very friendly. It proved to a perfect home base for our great week in Ogunquit!
My family spent the week at this rental property. The pictures showed the cottage to be well kept and spacious, and we found it to be exactly that. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms made it roomy enough for my family of four (with two older kids) without people bumping into each other. The cottage had a lot of the comforts of home, including ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, air conditioning units (2 and one portable), washer/dryer, flat screen TV, internet, and cable. We used the air conditioners in the afternoon on the days that the cottage got very warm, and the units cooled down the space very easily. It was also nice to sit out in the yard or on the deck in the rocking chairs. The bonus was the outdoor shower -- I expected it to be something to rinse off your feet, but it was a regular enclosed shower. It came in very handy after being at the beach all day. The cottage is located on a cul de sac, so although it's right off of Route 1, it is very quiet. It is located under a mile from the shopping area, so it is definitely walkable. Footbridge beach is walkable as well, but crossing the street is a little tough when there is traffic. Most days one of us would drive people over the beach with all the gear and then walk back to the beach from the cottage. We also found Footbridge beach to be a quieter beach with less people than Ogunquit beach. That was certainly a plus. The only thing that I felt was a little subpar was the mattress in the master bedroom; my husband and I didn't find it very comfortable. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay in a comfortable space. Dawn was very good with getting back to me with any questions I had, and she seemed very interested in making sure we enjoyed our time while we were there.
