The cottage is rustic yet comfortable; if you're looking for luxury and polish, consider elsewhere, but if comfort and simplicity is your priority, this is the place. The owners are nearby, welcoming, and available, without being the least bit imposing. The interior is large enough to have some space but small enough to be cozy; the kitchen is full enough to cook a complete meal; and the sun porch with a view is priceless. You can hear a pin drop at all hours and the neighborhood rightly expects it be kept that way.
Chuck & Lynne were very welcoming. The cottage was clean & comfortable. It was a great place of respite with a pretty view of the bay. The homemade zucchini bread was delicious & indicative of the thoughtfulness of the owners! All of our needs were met-- and then some!
We loved our stay at Chuck and Lynne’s cottage on Ash Cove. They were so welcoming and accommodating — our travel plans changed about five times; first due to airplane issues and then due to hurricane Lee. Anyways, we loved the cottage. It’s a genuine Maine cottage by the coast. The FM dial on the old stereo was a welcome throwback in this digital age (although this cottage has very fast internet!), and the enclosed porch with comfy couch is just where you want to read a book or watch the tide come in. We brought our two year old son, and the cottage was perfect for him and Chuck even child proofed the whole place. On top of it the neighbors put together their swing set for our boy because that’s the kind of neighborhood it is. There is no direct water access is the only thing I would note. Go stay with them. You won’t regret it!
Chuck and Lynne’s cottage may be plain, but it is quiet and clean and allowed us to enjoy all that Harpswell has to offer. After a day of exploring and good food, we enjoyed sitting on the small deck overlooking the water watching the birds and the tides. Chuck and Lynne greeted us with muffins when we arrived, showed us around, but otherwise respected our privacy. Great hosts!
We loved staying at this comfy and cozy cottage in Harpswell. Harpswell is a cute little town that is situated not too far from some great Maine destinations. I will miss sitting on the porch watching the tide roll in and out.
This is a true Maine cottage, it is perfect for a couple looking to find peace, quiet and calm! This is a place to disconnect from a noisy world, drift your thoughts over the water and lose yourself in the nature around you! The host is wonderful, will answer any questions. The banana bread was wonderful! Harpswell is one of Maine's most beautiful areas with a ton of hiking trails and the most breathtaking views!
This cottage fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, peaceful and quiet.
Quaint, comfortable, nice view. Cute cottage - ocean view from deck and enclosed porch. Comfortable chairs and couches everywhere. Friendly, accommodating hosts. Delicious oatmeal muffins upon arrival.
This quaint cabin may be stuck in the 70's but it sure is wonderful. Beautiful view, quiet and peaceful. You will not find nicer hosts. Lynne and Chuck are true Mainers, warm and welcoming.
We had a great time here. This was a nice throw back to the 70's. The hosts we exceptionally nice.
