Private, relaxing, cottage on the lake

From the initial interest in the property to our check out, the process was wonderful. Joel and Mary were responsive and welcoming. Their property is beautiful! We had a great time and it was nice to relax in our weekend home with tv and a kitchen to make meals. We even did a quick load of laundry. The pool was closed for the season but the lake view was stunning! Thank you for making our stay amazing.

My husband and I stayed with our older children, little one and our 2 dogs. The house was very clean and it being right on the lake was great. Joel was amazing with communication and got back to us right away. He even left the pool open a week longer so we could enjoy it. It was cold, but the kids didn’t care. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing location. The house was emaculant and the location was perfect. All up to date amenities and all very clean. Our host was very attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be back next year.

I give this place a 10 and it was amazing and so peaceful. A beautiful cottage by the lake and the firepit is by the lake and with a swimming pool. So worth it and i will be back again. I just wished the check in was a little earlier than 4 o'clock but other than that i loved it there. Thanks Joel.

We were more than happy with the cottage on the lake. It was clean, well stocked, completely comfortable, updated and had a view that was amazing. We enjoyed the pool, the kayaks, the dock and all the wild life at the doorstep. We day tripped to WNC and locally to Uptown Greenwood. It was an area that was new to us, but we found anything we were looking for: shopping, dining, antiques, art, but our favorite was just being on the lake. You won’t be disappointed. We had a most excellent time just being together with our family despite the chilly, rainy weather. We weren’t able to enjoy the pool; just too chilly, but the kayaks, corn hole and fire pit were a hit! Thank you for having plenty of wood to use for fire pit. A hot tub would have been perfect, but we did have plenty of other things to do. Den and kitchen were comfortable and we enjoyed the openness of it all so we could still be together even if someone was cooking! The beds were amazingly comfortable and at the last minute the owners agreed to let our daughter’s dog come (for a fee, of course), but nonetheless, very accommodating. Owners were extremely communicative. Beautiful place and immaculately clean! We would love to stay again, but our family is growing. Thank you again for having such a beautiful, clean, comfortable home!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The night we arrived there was a bad storm and the internet (Wi-Fi and streaming) when down. The communication we got from the host was excellent. This was beyond their control, yet they did everything they could to get it resolved. We had everything taken care of as timely as possible. That was appreciated. The property was beautiful, clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Just as described. Hope to stay again. Thank you to our hosts for sharing your property with us.

The property was as listed as online and was very clean! We had all of the things needed to cook with and to use outside. The pool was kept clean and very fun for our daughter! My husband and I loved the screened in porch downstairs while we watched the lake. We will def be back!

We had a wonderful two-week stay at McKee Cottage! The cottage offers stunning big-water views of the lake and unforgettable sunsets from the dock. The open floor plan made the space feel spacious and welcoming, and everything was cozy, clean, and well-maintained.The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I especially appreciated the high-quality linens. The kitchen was well-stocked, and I cooked several meals with ease using the nice pots and pans provided. It truly felt like a home away from home.Check-in was a breeze, and the owners were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The location is also perfect—just minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, and other conveniences.Highly recommend McKee Cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

This house was great for a family stay! Very nice house with open floor plan and great access to the water. The fenced yard was great for the dog. The owners were always available for quick questions when needed. We would definitely stay there again.

This property was perfect in every way! Just as pictured and described in the listing. Very well stocked with dishes and utensils. Very comfortable. And the pool and view of the Lake are perfect! I know we will want to return!!
