Stayed Jul 16, 2025Iceland is a land of contrasts. Some of the land is stark and bare looking while other areas are lush green. Beautiful scenery over the fjord. The house is perfect. The decor is eclectic and interesting. It is very modern, clean and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and felt well cared for by the host anf care taker.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024Plenty of room for our family of four. The location is very convenient to town and the city is easy to navigate. We had to message host about where to get coffee capsules (none provided) and they were quick to respond which was appreciated. Highly recommended for families - very comfortable stay.

Stayed Jun 19, 2024This was our family’s favorite property from our visit to Iceland. The kids didn’t even realize there wasn’t a television. The property was easy to find. The host was very communicative and provided some great recommendations. Access into town was very easy and only took minutes. We would certainly stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were so happy when we arrived at our rental. It is spacious and clean with a beautiful interior and amazing views. The house was fully equipped with everything one could ever need including lots of helpful information about things to do in the area. The town of Akureyri is worth visiting and there is so much to do within driving distance that we could have stayed a full week.

Stayed Dec 31, 19696 of us stayed in the house in May of 2015 and loved it! It's in a great location looking down on Akureyri and the water with short distances for day trips to Godafoss, Lake Myvatn, Krafla, and many other sites. We used the hot tub to relax after site seeing and the kitchen was great - we cooked a few very nice dinners and enjoyed them at the dining table with the views. My wife and I have been to Iceland 4 times now and will absolutely look to see if we can stay here again if we stay in Akureyri
