The trails were great - really enjoyed the property. It rained quite a bit, but the Internet was fast, easy access to the house, and not too far from town, but still lots of privacy.
This was a lovely secluded house that we enjoyed “getting away” to. Very clean, kitchen had all the things we needed (cookware, tableware), and even a well maintained trail through the property. We saw deer and turkeys from inside the house and lots of different birds.
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. We Loved the house and surrounding area! The hosts thought of many little extras to make our stay extra special! Beautiful nature, great amenities! We had a wonderful time!
One of the most beautiful, relaxing weekends we’ve had in ages! THANK YOU! THSNK YOU!
Spent the weekend here with my girlfriend for a cozy and very peaceful time together and that’s exactly what we got . Very beautiful and clean place for you and your loved one to spend time together . Robert and Dianna were also very helpful with us throughout our stay ! Will be visiting again .
The cottage was absolutely wonderful. Surrounded by the Manistee forest. Quiet, peaceful. The cottage was very clean (it even smelled fresh the moment we walked in). The interior design was very up north and perfectly appointed. Very cozy. It had all the needed amenities. Beds were very comfortable. The owners quickly responded to my questions. **Highly recommend**
Beautiful area and property, surrounded by tall, green trees in June. Cozy cottage home that was immaculately clean and had everything needed for a family of four (two adults, two children) to comfortably stay away from home (although I’m not sure if they have a hair dryer because I brought my own). House rules were pretty standard and easy enough to follow. They even have some plastic cups and dishes in the pantry for use by kids - great idea - and there were plenty of blankets in the second bedroom closet to help keep warm if needed. My youngest child enjoyed shooting hoops in the backyard, my older child liked the availability of streaming services on the living room tv. We also enjoyed that there were lots of DVDs and board games available - played chess our last night and would have played other games but were so busy out and about. My grandmother and dad (locals) came by to check out the place and grandma kept remarking about all of the woodsy finishes in the cottage; she really liked that. Only constructive feedback is related to the master bed and I will privately share that with the owners. Overall great experience and value, thank you!
Very nice, clean secluded cabin. Plenty of activities to enjoy on the property. Would highly recommend a stay there to anyone.
If you want relaxing this is your place, we had everything we needed both in and outside for peaceful weekend away from the city. The host even reached out to share with us local events that would be happening near by during our stay. The kids loved the open space, hammock, hot dogs and s’mores roasted over the fire, as well as the deers and bunnies that would stop by! Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!
Cabin was very roomy with great modern amenities. Loved the high speed internet and TV set up for streaming whatever service you want. Very quiet and good ownership.
My friends and I stayed for a weekend while hunting the nearby Manistee National Forest. The home is beautiful, clean and nicely appointed. Communication was exceptional and we plan to return.
Property was as described. Everything was immaculate, and the location was great. We can't wait to come back again next year.
We had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing stay. The host is very helpful and responds immediately. The cabin is beautiful and the quiet surroundings was exactly what we needed to relax. Most definitely coming back.
House and property are very nice. Great location near Manistee /Hungerford National Forest.
This was an amazing property to enjoy the Manistee National Forest. So many amenities to enjoy at the home. Loved the hiking trails and the fire pit on the property. The home was immaculate inside. We would definitely come back if we are in the area again. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, The Mellinger's
Great, relaxing house. Perfect for some peace and quiet. Great access to outdoor activities.
we spent 3 days in this home over memorial day weekend and just loved it! we were in town for the purpose of visiting family gravesites/ spending a bit of time in reflection and this place was perfect for that. the home is extremely clean and well maintained. the property is private but comfortable and easy to access. i didnt feel that anything at all in the home was on the brink of breaking soon, and was able to use the facilities mindlessly and easily. the shower was comfortable and hot. the beds were cozy. the sectional sofa was amazing, and we spent a lot of time there in between activities vegging. the home is decorated in a very woodsy theme which makes you feel in the spirit of the surrounding natural setting. the fire pit was clean, easy to use, and we loved the chairs around it. it was the perfect place for some rest and relaxing. we will be back!!
