Stayed Sep 30, 2025The kitchen is clean and has everything you need for your stay. The host supplies dish soap & laundry detergent. It was so convenient to have a washer & dryer. The bed is comfortable. The cottage is in a beautiful & peaceful setting, & it is conveniently located near shopping & restaurants. We very much appreciated how responsive & caring the host is, always responding quickly to messages, & wanting to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. There is a train track nearby, but the trains don’t go by very often, & the sound didn’t bother us.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025The cabin is old but very adequate for our needs. You do hear the trains but you do get used to them. The surrounding area is peaceful and private. Our host, Jamison, was wonderful! He answered all my questions promptly and was very gracious.

Stayed Nov 5, 2025The hosts were extremely responsive and appreciated feedback I gave directly. Given the colder weather and windows closed the trains were a very minor issue. I also appreciated the supplies they provided (including fresh ground coffee!). The space heaters were adequate (there’s a baseboard heater in the bedroom). All in all better than a hotel!

Stayed Jul 9, 2025Cute little rustic place tucked into a wooded spot. The train rumbles by often but we didn’t find it off putting. It would be very hard to find without the directions from the host. GPS thinks there is a railroad crossing that doesn’t exist. Easy highway access for going into Portland, out to the coast or going up the river gorge.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025The location was super ni e, close to public transportation to attend the No Kings march in PDX. We went to Vancouver’s Fatmers Market on Sunday, and just relaxed at the cottage. We had a great time! The only thing lacking was a BBQ!

Stayed Jun 4, 2025We enjoyed the cute cottage but were disappointed in the wi-fi that was in and out (more in than out, thankfully). The weather was unseasonably warm day or two, but the rest of our weeklong stay was pleasant. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchen.

Stayed May 15, 2025this was a truly beautiful rustic cabin nestled right into your own secluded area the forest! you can’t beat the location as it was still really close to a lot of the main attractions i was going to see, while simultaneously also feeling like you were in your own little world while staying here. some of the reviews do say that the floors are a bit slanted and it is right near train tracks, but in my opinion it was not bothersome at all. all of the good & beautiful qualities of this property far outweigh those two minor “issues”. i couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable 25th birthday vacation!!

Stayed Feb 7, 2025Loved the space. Property managers did a great job of providing a comfortable space while reserving the character of this turn of century old cabin. Very cute and love the setting close to the river nestled amongst tall trees and in a great neighbor hood. Train tracks were close by but we enjoyed the nostalgia of it all.

Stayed Jan 1, 2025Thus small cottage was the perfect size for the two of us, with serviceable amenities including coffee, soaps and lotion, clean towels and linens, and wi-fi. The age of the property was apparent in the wavy floors and drafty windows, but provided heaters kept us toasty, and the cozy charm was enhanced by the periodic rumble of the passing trains nearby. Overall, a convenient and cozy stay!

Stayed Aug 7, 2024A cozy cottage in an unique setting. Appreciated the connections from the owner and his kindness and support. We were only there for 3 nights so it was adequate and generally met expectations. It's a charming and a sweet place to unwind and relax.

Stayed May 26, 2024Neat and Tidy, all things to make your visit comfortable. Would be interesting to know the history of this little place. Hosts stayed in contact. Deer and squirrels stopped by for a visit. Very quiet except when the Train passes (after a day you don’t notice it). Only disappointment was the shower, it’s “NOT A SHOWER/TUB COMBO.” The Cottage slops a bit to the South, but understandable due to age. All in all it was a great place to stay.
