Holland, Michigan
**** The beach stairs are rebuilt and ready to take you to your private beach****
2023 summary..........
Although just minutes from the bustle of Holland’s major attractions, restaurants and shopping, the moment you arrive at Camelot, a sense of calm takes over.
Camelot is the place to delight in simple, summer memories. Building sand castles and searching for shells along the private beach. Feeling content exhaustion from playing all day in the surf. Relaxing with sunset cocktails on the deck. Then … fall asleep (and wake up) to the gentle sound of waves.
Perfect for family time or entertaining. Camelot has a full kitchen, outdoor grill area, expansive dining space, living room with fireplace and a large deck that stretches from the cottage to the bluff. Two bedrooms with full-sized beds are complemented by a loft, which includes a set of bunk-beds, two more full-sized beds and single. Great for the kids. Sleeps up to eight people. A full bathroom is on the main floor.
Ideal for vacationers within driving distance, as pets are always welcomed at Camelot. Linens and towels are NOT provided. Only 50 steps between the bluff and the private beach.
This place has an authentic cottage feel. We absolutely love the history in the cottage. All the wood made it very cozy like you’re at your own family cottage. Beds are comfy, view is spectacular, the outdoor shower, a plus. The farmers market in Holland on Saturday was an amazing, fun experience. If you’re there on a Saturday, it’s a must! we had an amazing vacation!
What a GEM! We loved our week here. The cottage had so much character and felt so homey. You can't beat the deck overlooking Lake Michigan, the beautiful sunsets, and the perfect lake breeze. Beds were very comfortable and loved the glider on the screened in porch. We will definitely be back!
Fabulous spot and well stocked. Great hosts and million dollar view. Perfect for our needs.
Bill and Gilda are very polite and easy to communicate with. The cottage was just what we wanted for some family time. I would definitely recommend it and go myself again.
Loved being right on the beach. Everything about the house was just as described and worked out great. It's a vintage lakeshore cottage. Cozy and homey. There were no pictures of the bathroom listed but it was updated and nice. The bedrooms upstairs are all open above the walls which is great for ventilation and cool breezes. Noise from each room wasn't a problem due to the waves from lake Michigan providing a natural sound machine.
Sweet little cottage, with original details. Deck out front on the lake and now stairs to the beach!
We were happy that the stairs had been repaired and access was available to the private beach which we enjoyed immensely! The upstairs has two bedrooms with full size beds and another large bedroom with a bunkbed, a twin bed, and two full-size beds. Lots of room to sleep! Plus downstairs there was a daybed and a futon that could be for sleeping. There were different areas to eat in dining room, 3-season porch, or deck with picnic table. We loved the outside shower and charcoal grill, and water toys. ☺️
The views of Lake Michigan are great. Lots of sleeping space in the old style cottage
This was our 4th stay at Camelot. We did miss the beach access, but everything else was just as we remembered: a very cozy, comfortable spot to relax and watch amazing sunsets on the deck. We always appreciate the dog friendliness too.
The views from the front deck of this cottage were exceptional. The breeze off Lake Michigan was cooling and refreshing even in the heat of August.
