Primrose cottage dates back to the mid 1800's and is named after the original settler George Primrose. In 1901 the farm block was purchased by Tom Rowlands and became part of the historic Millamolong Station. Today Millamolong is an 8,000 acre working sheep and cattle station.
Primrose has spectacular views towards Carcoar, Mount Macquarie and Mount Canobolas. This is a beautiful spot to set your clock by the rise of the sun and slow down, listen to the birds and relax.
The space
This traditional country cottage provides a peaceful retreat for couples and families looking to reconnect and slow down. Whilst the cottage is more than 150 years old, it has been recently redecorated and provides a simple cozy escape.

The trig station is a short stroll from the cottage and has panoramic views of the region and the magnificent night sky.

We provide basic condiments, tea coffee and Nespresso pods, sugar etc. Please help yourself to the seasonal herb garden.
Other things to note
Millamolong is conveniently located 40-45 minutes from Orange, Bathurst and Cowra. Whilst visiting, take the opportunity to meander through our local historic villages, Carcoar, Millthorpe and Canowindra. This is on a rural property so not suited to low to the ground cars. Road is dirt road access.

Isolated and very quiet. Lots of sheep surrounding the cottage. Very easy access to the Carcoar River Yarn Festival held that weekend.

We had a fantastic 3 days at this beautiful, historic and quaint little cottage. The location is stunning, the house is very comfortable and Kayley couldn't have bern more helpful and accommodating. A great little find to which we look forward to returning. PS - to the owners: PLEASE don't renovate this place! As an interior designer, I can honestly say that it would break my heart to see a modern kitchen put in and all the little quirks in the house ironed out - it's the not 'perfect' details that make it so characterful and wonderful.

On the farm, nothing around but sheep and stars, no noise and the feeling of relaxation is the only way to describe this rural bug rustic escape

Lovely little cottage. Laundry was mouldy though and smell permeated into kitchen. The cottage was old but well maintained
