Pet friendly, beautiful mid island cottage only 3 miles from the beach!

The property was pet friendly with a fenced in back yard however There was lots of leaves and debris like branches in the backyard making it difficult to stand back there due to the ants and bugs and the amount of leaves in the back yard. Kitchen supplies were limited as well like trash bags and coffee. Listing said coffee bar, but it was a kurig with only 1 k cup and no creamer or anything, so bring your own k cups and creamer. Also, fully stocked on sheets, pillows and pillow cases and towels but didnt have any big blankets for the pull out couch, so bring your own blankets for kids if you have them sleeping on the pull out couch. Overall not a bad location, cleanliness was a 4/5 due to there being laundry still in the dryer when we got there, the floor still had lots of sand near the doors and the backyard not really being suitable for sitting back there.

Perfect spot for my husband and I and our dog. The yard is fenced all the way around. We had great phone reception at this location, which was important since I work while visiting the island. House was clean and welcoming. Nice quite neighborhood. You can walk to a few restaurants and some shopping too!

It would have been nice to have some lamps, especially the n the bedrooms!! Otherwise, perfect!

Very clean, very very pet friendly as we loved the most ! Located in a perfect spot for all the island entertainment and beach !

We found the kitchen lacking in some basic items (e.g., small plates [bought some at a thrift store], teaspoons, large bowls for food prep [ditto at thrift store], etc.). The host was very responsive. In the living room, there is only seating for three on the sofa (no chairs); and, at the raised table, only dining seating for two. So although the listing says room for six, don’t know where they would be comfortable except for sleeping perhaps.

Delighted to find this wonderful little retreat tucked away from the noise and traffic but still close to everything SSI has to offer. Lovely, clean, comfortable and convenient. Our little dog loved that she had a fenced in yard. Who could ask for anything more?

I did not get to make the trip. My wife fell and broke her wrist two days before check-in date. So I can’t say anything about the property, but I can say something about Generali trip insurance. If you fall into a situation like I did and you contact the trip insurance company they’re gonna want to know a policy number. If you don’t have that you’re screwed. I tried to get some cooperation over the phone, but they saw their caveat and they took it. I’m out over 1000. I have receipt from other trips that I have taken and of course that does mean no good so I’ll continue to fight to see if I can get anything out of these guys. I’m not hopeful but try you must be careful things happen unavoidable things and trust in God because he’s the only buddy you got

A really nice cottage, well furnished and with everything we needed for a cozy getaway. It was outstanding.

Very well equipped kitchen, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Entire home was spotless, highly functional and nicely furnished, could not have been more comfortable.And our 14-pound dog loved it

We had the absolute best time! This is our second time staying here and it was even better than I remember. This place is so perfect and quaint and accommodating to families and pets. The host is so incredibly nice! We told her that this trip was particularly special because we decided to get married this weekend. We were welcomed into the home with flowers and little gifts and it was just the most thoughtful touch! We hope to make this a yearly or at least every other year trip and we would hope to always stay here in the future!

My 90 year old stepdad and I (and the dog) loved it. He couldn’t say enough! Everything on the inside is new and modern. We loved that we had our own bathrooms as well as bedrooms. The beds were super comfortable. I loved the combination style lock on the outside so you don’t have carry around an extra set of keys. I loved the doggie corner and the dog friendly atmosphere. We had a great time and my stepdad is already asking to come back to this wonderful home.

The cottage was the perfect size for us and was very well maintained. The owner was extremely helpful in giving us suggestions on places to eat that were pet friendly in town since we had our dog with us. The only complaint I would have is that the yard is surrounded by plants and vegetation so there were plenty of mosquitoes around that tore my dog up. Luckily, I had brought bug spray for myself! Communication with Mary was easy and quick. The home was only about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown and the shore and 3 miles away from Fort Frederica.

The house was perfect and the host was responsive and so kind! We had the best time!!

First time in St Simon’s Island and it was top notch!!!! Cottage is in close proximity to pretty much everything. We will definitely visit again

Perfect sized property for two people. Limited comunal space for more than that. Very welcoming for pets. The dig bed provided and water bowls was more helpful than Im sure the owner expected. Back yard was present but not much of yard. Good space but the mosquitos were active, so I didnt use the space as I had planned. Overall, based on price and comfort I would definitely stay again.

The cottage was perfect for our needs: including pet friendly (even had a cozy bed for Baylee), close to the wedding venues, quiet neighborhood and an accommodating host who patiently answered questions throughout the entire process. Cute decor, comfy beds and who doesn't love an extra bathroom! Fenced in backyard and driveway for parking. It checked all of our boxes...I would recommend this property!

Pros: Home was very clean and stocked for guests. It was updated and airy feeling. The bed was firm but comfortable. The house is in what feels like a safe area. The off street parking is nice. The house isn't too far from shopping and restaurants. The fenced backyard is perfect for brining your dog. Cons: The hot water heater doesn't work very well, it took forever to get warm and it wasn't super hot. The backyard is covered in stones and a ton of leaves from the trees (there is plastic covering the grass under the stones..I'm guessing so they don't have to mow it) which made it uncomfortable for one of my dogs to walk on and probably not safe for older or arthritic dogs. Would recommend for safe home to stay in. Clean, comfortable.

Kitchen did not have some basic items, ie frying pan, cutting board (we bought one and left it).Neighborhood was not yet gentrified, several feral cats roamed the streets, and 3-4 raccoons directly next door were always around, given that house was deplorable and a hoarder type lived there.TV require my streaming password, but was very clunky process to use.Home was perfect size, nice location, re done and very clean.

Wonderful house great yard for a pet and excellent location. We loved red Fern Village and there’s also a little park that you can walk to. It was a wonderful time.!!

Great showers and comfortable furnishings in a very clean home!If you're coming to the island to bird, you'll find some great species right here in the neighborhood. I identified my first Great Crested Flycatcher and Northern Parula right in the front yard!

My family and I had a planned get away for the weekend and had amazing accommodations. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and area. We would recommend this home to everyone! Excellent experience!

All sent well, we had a comfortable stay. The living space was small, no real dining space but there 2 stools at a counter.

We came for the Sea Turtle rescue and stayed here in Pine Street. Well maintained beach-themed home with a responsive owner. The neighborhood was quiet & I was comfortable walking my dog alone at night. I would stay again.

We had a lovely respite on the island we frequently visit in February. It makes for a nice winter change of pace. Delightful cottage, well-stocked and super clean. I would give a 10 rating but for 2 things which are first world problems. The main tv didn't work. So, at night we watched the tv in the MBR. We choose not to have a tv in our bedroom at home so, this wasn'tsomething we enjoyed but at least 1 of 3 tvs worked. The 2nd problem was that I needed to remake the master bed each morning because the fitted sheet was too small and came off during the night, at the bottom. My husband moves around a lot in his sleep or perhaps it wouldn't have happened as much. Otherwise, very pleasant stay in quiet neighborhood. Thank you...

Place was comfortable, clean, well equipped and nicely furnished in a pleasant neighborhood on a beautiful island. We enjoyed sharing the space with our two little dogs.

My stay at 423 Pine was great! I had excellent communication with the host, and she was so friendly. It was just me and my pup for most of the week, and my parents joint us for the weekend. The cottage was the perfect size for us. Location is convenient to all SSI has to offer, and especially to where I needed to be that week. I highly recommend this property and will stay here again if my travels bring me to SSI in the future.

With the exception of the weather, everything about this stay was perfect. Loved the house! It was spotless,well appointed and in a great location. The mattresses and sheets were super comfortable. Mary Ann is a wonderful host. We will definitely be staying here again!

We were so impressed when we walked in the house was beautiful. We usually stay in a hotel but, the process to rent was so easy. We were very comfortable when we came back to the house at the end of the day.

Me and my buddies stayed at this property over the weekend and loved it! The neighborhood is quiet and a short drive to the beach. The property is very clean, well priced, and we loved the big TV to watch football. The host was very kind and responsive. 100% recommended staying here if you are staying in St. Simon’s.

It was a nice clean cabin I really enjoyed my visit it was peaceful and close to everything I would recommend it to some couples for a pleasant and quiet neighborhood wit everything in minutes away I loved loved loved it

Property was clean and located near everything. Nice for our small dog too, she loved the fluffy dog bed. We will visit again.

We loved staying here for our little beach vacay! Very cute and charming and just like the pictures! The location was great. Only a short drive to the beach and also within walking distance to a couple restaurants and shops! (The kids loved walking to get pizza from Sal’s) Definitely recommend and hopefully we’ll be able to stay here again. Communication with the host was great as well and checking in and out was a breeze!

Perfect place for one or two. I highly recommend this property.
