Reached out to host requesting an early check-in we were driving 11 hours from Dallas. Host never responded within the 24 hours as site states host is responsible for doing. When we arrived we drove by the house & were shocked it was an old stucco behind a main house which was never explained. We immediately contacted the host & told him how disgusting the tiny shack looked. He said we could cancel or take a look inside because it was ‘so clean and nice’ we agreed after much debate to look inside. The deck was dug out under with safety cone rods dirt garbage can & full of junk. The deck was scratched and very worn (not as pic showed). Opening the door the latch or lock was dug out looked as thou someone had busted in at one time, entering your met with a very strong smell of old combination of odors. The floors creak loudly throughout the house. The couch had 3 stained areas. The kitchen back door would not latch it was locked but did not hold again this latch also didn’t fit and had been cut or knocked out. The door opened to the patio table and chairs apparently for the main house right outside the door so no privacy. The refrigerator had a disgusting chunk of food or something on the freezer door which we refused to touch. The floor had a dirty spot and broken tile. The bedroom bed we were told needed to be replaced (for whatever reason) & was shoved against the wall so we would have to climb over each other (which is not possible for medical reasons) the bedroom blind

Great views from the porch! The location is convenient for accessing town businesses.Snow on the landing was a little slippery on our arrival, but we were very careful. Thank you for providing extra blanket! (Recommend more hooks by the door and kitchen)

David supplied me with all the necessary information to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was well supplied and the bedding was comfortable. The apartment was very clean and wifi was great. The deck was private and has a good view of the mountains. Will stay here again when next I visit the area.

Was very clear in listing that it was more like a tiny home, perfect for what we needed for just the two of us. Very clean upon arrival, easy check in and clear communication on parking and how to enter unit. Close to all the destinations we were planning to visit on our trip.

4 stars overall- When we arrived the house both smelled and looked clean on the inside. Unfortunately all of our bath towels, bath mats, and hand towels were all stained and looked gross. I do believe they were washed, but just needed to be replaced as they were white with brown and black marks all over them. This is something the house cleaner should have noticed when folding the towels. The kitchen sponge for cleaning dishes was also used and gross. Normally I would not complain about a dish sponge, but it just sort of added on to the stained towels issue. I messaged the host about these issues an hour after we arrived, and the host messaged back right away and was able to have the house cleaner drop off new towels and a new sponge the next day. Parking is a bit tight at this location- not a huge deal for smaller vehicles but our Yukon barely fit under the car port- that would have been nice to know beforehand. We had a good experience none the less.

This is a small and quaint property located within walking distance of downtown Manitou. It is the perfect getaway from city living with a minimalist feel to it. The bed was a little smaller and firmer than I'd like but all else was great!

My wife and I stayed at this location for 2 nights in February, 2025. The location was excellent providing us easy walking access to shopping as well as the incline (via Hiawatha Garden free bus which has a stop just a couple of blocks away). We saw plenty of wildlife (deer) just outside the back door. All necessary amenities were included and the host communication was excellent. Highly recommend!

We had to find last minute accomodatiins and this fit the bill. When some unexpected plumbing issues arose, they responded quickly and the maintenance man stayed until it was completely addressed and we were satisfied. The issue was fixed so that it will not happen again. We would definatly stay again.

This property is most definitely a hidden gem! Perfect location, very comfortable unit, private laundry, extra clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches to enhance our stay. But the best part was the little patio.

Located just a 5-minute walk to Manitou Hiawatha Gardens - parking and shuttle. Another 5 minutes you are downtown with restaurants, brewery, shops, retro arcade, and ice cream stores. Garden of the Gods opens at 5 am, get in the park before 8 am to avoid the crowds. Pikes Peak was well worth the trip. Manitou Springs has plenty to offer for everyone. We would like to visit again with friends and family. Hiking and exploring then sitting on the private patio made for a great vacation.

The perfect place for a couple. Hidden off the street, we spent our time at the house enjoying the back deck. The house had everything we needed to grill a meal at home; do laundry, just relax, a comfortable bed and a hot shower. There's so much to do so close to the house than just relaxing - Garden of the Gods is within a 10 minute drive. Pike's Peak is close enough for daily visits. You could spend days shopping in Manitou or Colorado Springs. It was the perfect spot for everything we wanted to do! I did not experience any of the issues others have had in the past. The air conditioner in the bedroom needs some attention - However, they did fine in keeping the entire house around 70-72. The hosts were easy to contact and very responsive to questions - the propane tank needed filled in the middle of the week - it was filled by the time we returned that afternoon. Overall - a great place for a couple looking for quiet, private retreat close to outdoor activities. FYI - there are stairs to access the unit not mentioned in the listing.
