Super cute little cottage. Great location. Easy checkin. Stairs are steep! We had a great time and having the dunes across the street was great.

Excellent property for a quiet getaway weekend with just adults. The kitchen was fully outfitted for preparing your own food, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you don’t want to cook. Awesome location, secluded but close to a ton of outdoor activities. Overall, we had a great time away for the weekend.

Exactly what was advertised. A nice surprise that there was both a grill and a fire pit for use. They are not joking when they say the steps are steep so be ready

Perfect getaway in the woods for two! Being right next to Warren Dunes State Park was amazing! A nice hike to see beautiful Lake Michigan was a highlight!

I have stayed at this property many times, and love it so much that, four years after my initial stay, I am reviewing it again. This cottage is a true sanctuary. It’s beautiful and peaceful. I have come here over the years, just myself, no spouse or friends. I’ve stayed here when life was wonderful, and stayed here when life was falling apart. In both times, the peace, nature, and time to slow down and feel a sense of peace and thankfulness has been a healing and deeply restorative time. The property is beautiful. I love being able to enjoy the hot tub and watch birds and trees swaying. The screened in porch has reading lamps, where I’ve come to love reading, crocheting, and writing when I’m there. In colder months, the fire stove smells glorious and creates warmth and coziness. Eileen and the folks who attends to the cottage do so beautifully. Kindling is set up in the fire stove for you when you arrive, there is a basket of treats waiting, basics like olive oil, salt and the like. A great kitchen. The stairs are steep, so do keep that in mind, but the sofa downstairs does pull out, making it more accessible. Extra toothbrushes/soap/etc are available if you forget something. Wireless, sunscreen, etc. are there. Beach time is super easy to get here, as are lots of fun spots for a meal, a little shopping, etc. Three Oaks is a good place to stop. Throw comfy clothes and swimsuit into a bag, bring easy snacks, and expect a wonderful stay - believe me, you’ll get it.

Overall good get away. Host was kind and helpful. Coffee pot had old coffee left in the filter- just a heads up for the bext guests.

Everything here was perfect if you're looking for an unfussy, comfortable, and convenient long weekend away from Chicago. Location is perfect: Easy walk to the Warren Dunes. Easy walk to local places to eat and hang out.The house was just right. Yes, the stairs are steep and we had to carry our dog down them, but this feels like staying in a cozy house, not an artificial rental property. Clean up instructions were reasonable and not over bearing. The outside was great! A dedicated fire pit with lots of wood. A hot tub ready to go. And several other seating spaces. There was plenty of room for our dog to run around without fear of bugging anybody. We weren't too close to anybody so it felt private. And again, the rules for using things weren't fussy. We look forward to coming back!

The cottage is ADORABLE and as advertised, is perfect for two people. So much quaintness from the hardwood floors, to the old windows with little pull knobs, the screened in porch and flower boxes. Set back in the woods so privacy is not an issue. Hot tub was super, water was nice and hot and great jets. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need (although we didn’t do any cooking, just coffee in the mornings). Convenient location if Warren Dunes is your destination or any of the Harbor Country towns. Joined a Murder Mystery dinner at Lakeside Inn, which was so fun! Visited our favorites for food and drinks, which included Brewster’s, Beer Church, Stray Dog and Neon Moon. And lots of time at the beach for sunset and sunrise, enjoying the spectacular autumn weather we were blessed with. Would definitely stay again.

This was my second stay and it definitely will not be my last! This is such a perfect little hidden gem getaway spot in Sawyer. So close to the beach, great restaurants and the local wineries. But the house and property are just perfect to relax and unwind at as well. Thanks so much for an incredible stay and already looking forward to my next visit!

TWO was just as advertised. Everything was perfect. We golfed daily and came back to the cabin for hot tub, campfire and just relaxing at a fine cabin in the woods. We grilled several times on the best grill we have ever used. Would go back in a heartbeat and probably will. The owners treated us very good.

We had a great stay at this tiny house. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable for two. The location is peaceful and private but still close to the beach and local shops. The screened porch and hot tub were perfect after a day out. Check-in was easy, and the hosts were responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a relaxing stay! Check in and out was so easy! We loved that you could walk to the beach and to the beach bucket for ice cream and snacks! The hot tub was so nice for winding down at night after our beach day!

This little cottage in the woods is perfect. Just a short walk or drive to the beach or 15 minute drive to New Buffalo. We had beautiful weather so we spent most of our evenings on the screened in porch or swing. We’ll definitely return next year!

We stayed 3 nights at this great cottage. The online pictures don’t do it justice - it was better in person. The backyard has everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. There is a fruit market next door that my girls visited twice. And it is a 5 min drive to our favorite Cherry Beach (which is now charging 15 daily parking). We had a very relaxing stay and would book this place again.

Nice property outside, but ants were all over hot tub and chairs. Some bug treatment on lawns around decks would definitely help curb the ants. . AC UNIT in wall cannot cool off upstairs. Outdoor chairs were dirty and I had to clean them myself. Close to Warren dunes was a plus.

This place is absolutely the cutest I have seen so far. It was quiet and so peaceful. Just the mini getaway I needed. The Warren dunes are just around the corner. It was amazing and I would definitely visit again!

Nice place quiet

The outdoors area provided a lot of relaxing time. It was nice to have the covered patio as it rained most of the weekend but we could still enjoy being outdoors.

We enjoyed a very nice weekend in the cabin. The kitchen was well apportioned, the pot-bellied stove made it very cozy, and it was an easy hike to the beach.

This is, as advertised, a perfect getaway for two. We enjoy planning a weekend during which the only activity outside the cottage is venturing to the hot tub. We live in a serene place that feels like a sanctuary, so the bar is high for us to travel somewhere and feel like it's a quiet oasis. This is it.

We had a very nice time staying at this little house. The yard was great, loved the hot tub and fire pit. The house was very clean. The only thing missing from the kitchen was a frying pan. The area is great. We walked to the dunes every day and enjoyed local specialty shops and the new wine bar up the street.

I was looking for a charming romantic cottage in the woods for a snowy weekend stay. This was the perfect tonic from the busy city. Perfect for two, great potbelly fireplace with plenty of wood to stay nice and cozy. I highly recommend this place for a perfect getaway. I will definitely return.

The cottage was cozy for my wife and I for a weekend getaway. We loved the wooded area and outdoor hot tub. It was a great location as it was between several small towns but relatively close to all. It was my first time staying in the area. We enjoyed a sunset on the dunes, drinks, and dining galore!

Had a wonderful stay! Everything was perfect. Comfortable bed and the kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed walking to Warren Dunes & relaxing in the hot tub.

Everything was amazing except the stairs going up to the sleeping area. Extremely steep and dangerous. A simple ladder would be a better idea

Needed a break from the stress of city life. Had a perfect weekend away with my dog. We walked to the beach for sunsets, hiked the wine trail and ended the nights with a fire and a soak in the hot tub. Can’t wait to come back again!

My partner and I enjoyed our stay until the last 30 minutes. Were getting dressed downstairs and the blinds were left up on a window facing the lane with the treeline behind. This trip's last moment of intimacy was interrupted when I noticed an unfamiliar car in the lane outside the window. It was 10:30, 30 minutes before checkout. We quickly finished dressing (from nude) and packing, anxious about the unknown car. After about 15 minutes, we approached the car. We let who we assume to be the owners know that we were dressing when they arrived early, that we felt rushed, and their early presence was making us uncomfortable. They said this had never been an issue before, implying they arrive well before checkout regularly. Arriving thirty minutes before checkout would be inappropriate anywhere, but especially so for a property being marketed as a couples retreat. Rather than taking off a few stars for this, I think a 1-star review is appropriate, due to the owners response. After we expressed our discomfort at their presence, they continued to wait in their car outside the property up until the checkout time. There is an empty parking lot 1/4 mile down the road the could have waited in, if they had any consideration for their guests. It's a nice property in a nice location. Not exactly a hideaway as the listing suggests; there are 3 multistory homes adjacent and the treeline is sparse in places. We enjoyed most of our time here but something is wrong with the managers.

Just returned from the best little weekend here! It is hard to choose what I liked most, but I think the evening strolls along the beach to watch the sunsets were my favorite. It’s an easy walk from the cottage to get there and you see plenty of beautiful deer along the way. I also got to explore the wine tastings and restaurants in nearby Baroda and New Buffalo and check out some of the local restaurants that the hosts recommend. Just relaxing at the cottage is amazing as well with the cute little porch, hot tub and fire pit. I am already thinking of when I can return for another perfect weekend!
