Stayed Oct 22, 2024Shipwrights is a lovely but tiny cottage with fantastic views across to Dartmouth. With the ferries, buses and the train we didn’t use the car as it was just a short break. Being able to park in the marina was perfect. Storage for the bedrooms was limited, not really ideal for three. We didn’t cook there but it looked as though everything necessary had been provided. There are plenty of places for an evening meal and we would highly recommend The Ship Inn in Kingswear. A small menu but the food was very good and the staff friendly and welcoming. All in all an excellent short break with good weather too.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024A lovely cottage, nicely appointed inside and with the most fabulous views over Dartmouth and the river. A short walk to the ferry, we just left our car in the car park all weekend and used the ferries. I particularly loved the stable door, so I could look out while cooking. Good to see plenty of plugs for the inevitable phones and laptops too.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely location, good pubs nearby, easy ferry rides across to Dartmouth. Parking in the car park very useful. House small but cosy for a short stay for two people. Good base for coastal path walks. No DVD player although listed in details and would benefit from a little more storage upstairs, a small chest of drawers would be useful. All in all a very enjoyable weekend.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I stayed here with my wife and father in law. We all found the cottage to be an excellent choice for a short break. There was a wonderful view from the lounge and bedrooms. It was in a very handy location, not being too far up a hill from the lower car ferry and passenger ferry. A shop, pub and small Italian restaurant are nearby too. The parking permit for the car park just below is fantastic given the parking problems in Dartmouth and Kingswear. The cottage is very clean, warm, has comfortable beds and has many cooking items in the kitchen if required. Communications with Dart Valley Cottages was excellent too. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely week in the cottage, we parked the car and that's where it stayed, bus train and ferry was our mode of transport for the week, it was really good not having to worry about parking.
